    Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where I can download/update Japanese version of FFBE?
A: Download QooApp on your phone and search for FFBE in it. Don't forget to tick Unknown Sources in security settings to enable installation for both. If there's a game version update, just open QooApp again and search for FFBE, there will be an option to update the game.

Q: How to Reroll or save my account? Do we need to use FB/Google account/etc.?
A: There's a guide about it already in here.

Q: When is the daily reset/login reward/friend level reset?
A: Daily Login reset: 00:00 JST or 07:00 PST. Daily login reward distribution and Friend level reset: 05:00 JST or 12:00 PST. Details about friend level below.

    Q: What is Friend level?
A: Friend level is a parameter that grants bonuses depending on how many friend that brought you on the previous day. The more friend that brought you, the higher the friend level is and the better bonuses you'll get on that day. Friend level bonuses are: Energy potion(s), Unit exp boost, Gil received from dungeon boost, and Unit Status boost. A few things to note about Friend level (credit to @Ryudo):
    • Resets at 5:00 AM JST.
    • After the reset, the amount of times your unit has been brought along as a companion on a quest will be recalculated and then the new level will be set.
    • The Bonus Stats obtained from the Friendship Levels only applies to yourself. Your friends (or random strangers that haven't added you yet) don't benefit from the extra stats on the unit, and will only see the normal stats instead.

    Q: What unit should I get/What unit I should reroll for/Is this a good unit/etc.?
A: There's a quite dependable unit ranking here on Altema. Try to pull one or two of them and you're safe.

    Q: Help! I don't understand Japanese/What does this means/etc.?
A: Download Google Translate on your phone and set the translation to Japanese => English/preferred language. Take a screenshot of game texts that you don't understand and open it on the app. If you're not comfortable to read broken English, you can ask in this thread.

Q: Event/Rate up banner isn't showing on my phone...
A: Set your device timezone to JST (GMT+9). If the problem persists, restart the game.

    Q. Any JP bosses or trial guide?
A: We have guide section now. Hurray!

Q: Where I can find Moogle King?
A: Open the vortex menu and there's a Moogle King icon on the most upper right. For your information, Moogle king will give you good items/equipment in exchange of tradeable items that are obtained from vortex grinding events. If you're a beginner or miss any good items from past events, try to grind on this type of event (if available) and get those good items/equipment.

Q: The Colloseum menu is disappeared and replaced by Arena! Where I can find it?
A: Colloseum is still available as sub-menu on Arena home screen. It is located on the upper right, below the exp gauge.

    Q: I can't use a magic/abilities on arena...
A: Check Arena banned abilities rules on previous post.

Q: I have this ability materia/equipment but my units can't equip it...
A: There are some ability materias and equipments that are exclusive to certain characters (example: Breaker materia is exclusive to Vargas, Osmose Field is exlusive to Rem, etc.) They usually has this text at the end of the description: [-unit name- の.... 可能]

    Q: Where can I get this material/Where to get *6 evolution material/etc.?
A: With current UI on the game, now you can visit the dungeon immediately by pressing this button below the specific materials.

    (Image will be added later)

About *6 evo/awakening materials, those can be obtained from Moogle King exchange or Phantom Labyrinth vortex event (an luck-testing exploration event where you can farm specific materials, gil snappers, and metal cactuars.)

Q: What is this Moogle on my unit inventory? What's its function and how to obtain it?
A: Trust Moogle is a unit that increase a unit Trust percentage by certain amount if it was fused into that unit. There's 3 types of Trust Moogle:

    - *5 rarity: increase Trust by 10%, obtainable from high arena ranking reward, specific vortex events awakening class, Moogle King exchange, specific Fat chocobo (need 200 star quartz), and Trust summon campaign
    - *4 rarity: increase Trust by 5%, obtainable from arena ranking reward, specific vortex events and Trust summon campaign
    - *3 rarity: increase Trust by 5%, only can be fused into a unit with the same Trust Reward (example: Mp+30% Trust moogle can be fused into Shantotto but can't be fused into other units, etc.) Obtainable from Trust summon campaign

    Q. I'm just started and there's this hard xxx event! Which one should I prioritize, event or story?
    A. Currency grinding>Main Story>>>Raid/Exploration>Story event. Currency grinding should be prioritized because it's the main source of *6 awakening materials (and several good equipments and materia), You want to be powerful as soon as possible, no?

    Q. The "finish boss using LB/Magic/Esper" mission is insane!
    A. As long the specified attacks are included in the overkill damage, it is still counted as finishing blow. There's a trick about this. First, make sure to have the boss at low Hp or def/spr debuffed. Second, prepare a LB/Magic/Esper with long attack animation. Diabolos *2 is a good example for esper finish, it has a long delay before the damage comes out. Odin is a bad example for this case; the animation is fast enough and the boss might have not been killed when the damage is dealt. Lastly, use the specified attack simultaneously with other units powerful attacks.

    Q. Any other places to get highest tier enchantment materials?
    A. Nope. Only available on story event. Make sure to do all the missions, they're valuable.

White Phantoma Exchange Period: Ends 5/31 23:59 JST

Final Fantasy II Event: Large Battleship
    6/10 17:00 - 6/20 23:59 JST

5 difficulties ahead. Search-type dungeons full of *6 evolution materials and awakening class' boss is quite difficult. No trade item because FFT event is still ongoing.

    First Time Clear Reward:
    - 1 summon ticket
    - Ruby Breastplate (36 Def)
    - Orichalcum (42 Atk, Aqua killer)
    - Gigant Axe (72 Atk, Hp +15%)
    - Trust Moogle 10%

Notes about Awakening class: Bringing AoE attackers (lightning, luneth, or maybe firion), tank (Cecil), full break user and Atk/Def buff is recommended. First off, one-shot two bombs on the first turn to prevent explosion/instant wipe. After defeating them, the boss will summon 4 sergeants. Wipe them out in one turn by using AoE attacks to lower enemy firepower to a 'safe' level. The boss itself is quite durable, it often use debuffing attacks (mainly Atk and Def down.) Def debuff attack deals a lot of damage (usually one hit kill healers/mages), which makes tank character play an important role in this battle. Another way to handle hard hitting attacks is by defense buffing entire party or inflicting Atk down on the boss (Full break is another good option.) Also, beware of confusion or paralysis, cleanse it as soon as possible. The most important thing in this battle is keeping your team HP high every turn (above 3000) while chipping boss' HP little by little.

Final Fantasy Tactics (part 2) (vortex closed, item trade closed)
    Ended: 6/14 23:59 JST
5 difficulties with red orb as trade item. Trade it with moogle king to get valuable or limited time items. Bringing specific character will grant bonus red orb at reward screen:
    - Orlandu: +100%
    - Soleil: +75%
    - Ovelia: +50%
    - Lawrence: +50%

Chance to meet 3 chocobos at 2nd stage. Each of them drop different amount:
    - Red Chocobo: 1000
    - Black Chocobo: 700
    - Yellow Chocobo: 500
Beware of those chocobos, especially red ones. They're quite durable and they deal a lot of damage. Aim to 1 turn kill.

    First clear reward per difficulties:
    - 1 summon ticket
    - 200 red orb
    - 300 red orb
    - 500 red orb
    - 500 Lapis

    Notes about Awakening Class:
Compared with past FF Type-0 event, each round only consist of 1 enemy and they're quite durable & deadly. Aim to 1-2 turn kill them. However, the boss HP is kinda low compared with past event. Bring 2 physical attacker (lightning/luneth recommended), 1 magic attacker (Ace/Exdeath/Majin Fina) and 3 characters that grant bonus drop (including Orlandu. Don't have him? Search for friends who have him.) Bringing bonus character is recommended to make farming more efficient (+200% bonus is as same as 3 runs. Effective, hm?) Healer is optional, bring one if you're not confident to 1 turn kill each stage.

If your firepower is not enough to 1 turn kill mobs/boss, make sure you bring concentration and attack/magic break to ensure survival. Those two will lower enemy's magic attack greatly (even my low level Ovelia and Lawrence can withstand attacks). If you're using high powered skills (lightning, luneth, orlandu 45 mp skills), don't forget to stock up ether/turbo. Beware of status ailments, bringing items that can cure blind/silence/confusion might help.

One other way if your firepower isn't enough and you don't like defensive strategy is by bringing 3 physical attackers (lightning, luneth), party atk up buff user (especially soleil's cheer) and defense break (other variant: orlandu's skill from red orb trade or delita's shield break.) In my case, def debuffing enemies followed by electric blast from 2 lightning (with elemental chain) will result in 1 turn kill from the 1st until 4th stage (50~60k x 4 damage, enemies hp are around 180k-220k.) Last stage's boss usually died on 2nd turn using zekkage (lightning 45 mp skill.)

    Awakening class guide: http://altema.jp/ffbe/ffkorabokakusei-21174
    Trade items list: http://wiki.famitsu.com/ffbraveexvius/モーグリ王交換アイテム一覧
Item exchange ends at 6/20 23:59
Grab Durandal, ハメドる (chance to dodge and counter), 密漁 (plant+beast+aqua+dragon+bird killer), HP+15%, Trust moogle 10% and Orlandu/Soleil extra skills. Stock up *6 evo materials and metal cactuars if able.

(Reopen) FFBE Event Dungeon: Water Capital
    6/10 17:00 - 6/20 23:59 JST

Important note: Only Awakening class that is available in current reopened dungeon. The dungeon is heavily cut, means you start off on water temple (last area) instead of water cave. Majin Fina is still hard as ever. And I finally beat it. MVP: buff & debuff

5 difficulties ahead. Majin Fina in awakening is one of the strongest boss up to this date. Recommended to bring physical attacker (barrage users), full break, concentration, status cleansing/nullify and luck. You'll see so many flare and comets casted in one turn.

    First Time Clear Rewards:
    - 1 summon ticket (Beginner)
    - Shrine Maiden Robe (Intermediate)
    - Water God Amulet (Senior)
    - Empress Bute (Super)
    - 10% TM Moogle (Awakening)

    Phantom of Bahamut
    6/21 17:00 JST - 6/29 23:59 JST
Milestone and Ranking Reward Distribution: 7/4 ~

    Event mechanic/details :
You need to deal as many as damage to Bahamut and you get rewards by accumulating the total of damage that you've done. This means you'll receive greater amount of points on harder difficulties:

    - (Beginner) 15 Points
    - (Intermediate) 98 Points
    - (Senior) 400 Points
    - (Super) 1104 Points
    - (Awakening) 3000 Points

Each difficulty only has 1 battle with no first time clear reward. All difficulties are already unlocked once the event began.

To check your progress, tap this button for info (located on the main screen, beside the news board)

    Awakening class info:
    Bahamut
    Lv: 70
    Hp: 1200000
weak to light element, resist dark element. Nullifies poison, confuse, silence, pertify. Which means Bahamut can be afflicted by paralysis and sleep.

First turn idle, and release megaflare on the second turn. It is important to buff Spirit parameter (concentration will do fine) or magic debuff to survive megaflare. Later turns will be followed by AoE fire, water, earth attacks (earthshaker), poison attacks, and Maelstorm (50% hp threshold, reduce hp by 99%).

Recommended party: Bring a full assault party to finish Bahamut on turn 2-3. Orlandu and Exdeath are recommended because of their light-elemental attacks. Equipping Durandal (from recent FFT event, light-elemental greatsword) and dragon-killer abilities to physical attacker is recommended to increase firepower. If you're not confident to finish Bahamut quickly, bringing full-party buff (concentrate) and a healer will help you to survive (especially megaflare). Considering Bahamut attacks on 3rd turn and later are quite dangerous (maelstorm), finishing the battle quickly is highly recommended.

    Event rewards:
    - Ranking rewards
    Rank 1-1000 = x2 10% TM* + x5 ST*
    Rank 1001-10000 = x1 10% TM + x4 ST
    Rank 10001-30000 = x1 5% TM + x4 ST
    Rank 30001-50000 = x1 5% TM + x3 ST
    Rank 50001-100000 = x2 ST
    Rank 100001~ = x1 ST

    - Personal Reward
You'll receive your reward as you accumulate points (example: You'l get star quartz if you have reached 2000 points, ST on 3000 points, etc.) Collect points as much as possible to receive greater rewards. This type of reward is sent immediately.

    Notable rewards:

    • 14hp
    • Takes 1 dmg per hit, 2 on crit

    Gold Man:

    • Weak to wind. 50% Sleep resist, Null disease and pertify.
    • Nothing notable
    • Drops 500 Gold
Overall: Battle 1-4 is quite easy with AoE + Elemental chain. Try to use elements that are not the enemies' resistance to ensure high firepower. For Dragonlord battle, it is highly recommended to cast full break and barfira/barfiraga to ensure survival. Its HP is quite low compared to previous events bosses, so try to finish him quickly (Nope. His HP is low to compensate bringing weak event units. Well designed.) Knowing that Dragonlord can inflict silence, bring item that can cure silence is recommended if you have magic attackers in your team, or use Dragonlord's 光のはどう (AoE cure ailments). Rain's Undermine (full break) is valid for all battle in this dungeon, try to bring him.

5 Difficulties exploration dungeon. Grab available treasure boxes to get decent reward (such as *6 materials.)

    First Time Clear Reward:

    - (Beginner) 1x Summon Ticket
    - (Intermediate) +31 DEF +7 SPR Light Armor
    - (Advanced) +54 ATK Fire Element Hammer
    - (Super) +18 ATK +15 DEF +15% Fire Resist Helm
    - (Awakening) 10% Trust Moogle

    Full Map: http://altema.jp/ffbe/teikokukakuseikyu-24313

    Awakening class notes:

    Boss: Flame Dragon
    HP: 2,000,000
100% resist fire, 50% weak ice and water.
Null all ailments except blind (80%)

Attacks: AoE Strong Fire attack, ST Strong Fire attack, ST Strong physical, ST Massive physical + Def/Spr debuff, AoE confusion chance, AoE silence, blind, confusion chance

Fire resistant equipment (+Ifrit) and Barfira/ga must in this difficulty as the final boss spams so many fire attacks (50% resistance is ok as barfira can add another 50%.) Bring 2 Barfira to anticipate if your healer got killed and you need to cast barfira immediately. Firion is your MVP here as he has many killer abilities and MP-cheap ST physical attack.

If you're aiming for 4-man party mission reward, bringing 3 physical attackers (equipped with ifrit and flame mail, Firion recommended) and one healer (equip carbuncle that has barfira) is quite sufficient. Don't forget to cast barfira every 3 turns and keep your party's HP high (above 2800.) Since healer only has 50% fire resistance from barfire, watch out for incoming physical attacks.

Null: Poison, sleep, silent, disease, pertify. Resist: Paralyze (80%)

(Taken from Altema) On the first turn it will use "Roar", decreasing party fire, thunder and ice element resistance. Next turns will be followed by strong elemental attacks. Since it's vulnerable to confusion and blind, try to take advantage from it. Since it gives us 2 free turn for attacking, try to aim 2-turn kill if able.

    Shinryu Celestia
    Lv.: 75
    Hp: 480k
    Mp: 500
Nullifies fire, thunder and all status ailments.

Mobs are quite underwhelming and easy to be killed. Most of enemies here are vulnerable to ice (blizzaga) so bringing Lightning/Exdeath will make life easier. Easy 2-turn kill is viable in Shinryu Celestia battle; quickly drop her Hp below 70% and she'll only buffing herself on her turn, which makes 2 free turn for you. Full Break and other parameter debuffs are valid and you may dispel Shinryu Celestia's buff to keep your damage output high.

Average Magicite drops: 4-7 for each run, chance to get ~2 Holy/Sacred Crystal or Gold bags that can be sold for 3000 gil

    - (Awakening) 10% Trust Moogle

    Awakening class notes:

    Boss: Wilhelm
    HP: 1,300,000
Null all ailments except blind (80%)

    - Powerful AoE attacks. Starts to use it when HP already dropped by certain amount or when mobs are in low HP
    - Atk/Mag or Def/Spr to his gang
    - 50% HP threshold: Shield Bash (ST, stop) Will be frequently used when hp below ~30%
    - ST powerful Atk/Def debuff

    Boss: Special force x2
    HP: 500,000
    - ST attacks
    - ST Heal 10000

    Recommended action:
    - 4-man party clear: 2 Physical attacker, 1 Tank, 1 healer
    - Dispel/ga, Odin ST dispel or Gilgamesh trial materia reward
    - Null paralyze accessory for healer
    - Provoke user (WoL recommended)
    - Powerful AoE attacks

The first important thing to do is to kill both mobs quickly. Their firepower will overwhelm you after Wilhelm using ST stop so it's better to get rid of them. Wilhelm attack isn't dangerous if you keep you HP high every turn. If your healer inflicted by stop, you can either try to keep it survived by using healing items or just let it die and revive it using phoenix down/raise.

    - Try to turn count if your units are squishy/ you're aiming for no-death clear

    Hp: 1,000,000
    Mp: 6,000
200% resist Light, 100% weak Dark

4 difficulty total. Currently the safest place to farm points is 3rd difficulty, and 4th difficulty is not recommended unless you're prepared for trial-like content.

    Event Mechanics:
    - 5 raid orb available, recharged every hour. You'll use this instead of energy to start a raid battle. Each difficulty requires one.
    - There's a level down timer, the level of raid boss will drop server-wide if players can't reach the next level within the time limit.
    - The boss level increases as he defeated server-wide. The higher the level, the greater bonus points you will receive.
    - You'll get event currencies (raid coin) after clearing the battle. Use it to summon on raid summon banner
    - There will be personal reward depending on total point you've collected.

    Battle Info:
    Ifrit
Hp: 4,000,000 (Awakening class), 1,500,000 (super class)
No elemental resist/weakness, null all ailments (vulnerable to paralysis and blind on super difficulty)

    Attacks:
    - Awakening Class:
    • Normal Attack
    • 光輝の炎柱 500% AoE fire magic attack, 3 turns -50% fire resistance
    • バルカンバースト 130% AoE physical attack, 50% chance paralysis
    • エラプション 200% ST fire magic attack, 3 turns -50% atk/mag debuff
    • インシネレート 220% ST fire magic attack
    - Super Class:
    • Normal Attack
    • 光輝の炎柱 500% AoE fire magic attack, 3 turns -50% fire resistance
    • バルカンバースト 120% AoE physical attack, 25% chance paralysis
    • エラプション 180% ST fire magic attack, 3 turns -25% atk/mag debuff
    • インシネレート 180% ST fire magic attack
    • 立ち去った 100% Flee the battle, used on turn 21.
    Awakening class notes:
    - Bring fire resistant equipment (flame mail, flame shield, ifrit nail, etc.) If a character cannot equip those, equip esper Ifrit to him/her.
    - Barfira/ga/other fire resist up buff. One is enough, bring two for worst case scenario
    - Healer with AoE heal + ailments cleanse such as Ruruka, Rem, or Tilith. Bringing two of them will greatly increase your survival rate. Equip them with paralysis null accessory
    - Low cost ST physical attack (Firion, Tidus) or Mp regen buff
    - Full Break/Leadership/other similar buff/debuff

The reason why you must bring both barfira and fire resist equipment is because Ifrit's 光輝の炎柱 can reduce your fire resistance. Bringing only one of them will render you unable to withstand other fire elemental attacks; around 50% resistance is needed to survive.

Ifrit's skillset is very straightforward, he always uses バルカンバースト every turn and 光輝の炎柱 once or twice per turn. If you're attempting awakening class, prepare for a long battle.

    Clear squad example:
the fight might be quicker if Cecil is replaced by physical attackers such as Tidus (physical and support) or Queen (physical and back-up curaja.)

    Nelapa
    Lv: 50
    Hp: 70k
    Mp: 80
100% fire resist, 50% ice/thunder/light weak, Null all ailments except Confuse

Pretty easy. Don't forget to use attack other than fire elemental ones.

    Golden Bomb
    Hp: 30k

Chance to fill LB gauge, yeah.

    Awakening Class notes:
    Ultima Weapon
    Lv: 75
    Hp: 550k
    Mp: 400
Null all ailments except paralysis (90% resistance)

Important: Bring healer with null paralysis/silence/sleep/pertify for safety. Ultima weapon will use an AoE ailments attack, so beware of that. It will mainly attacks with flare/physical attacks/quake, and Flare Star damage is quite high (it will cast it on the next turn after a long dialogue.) Fire resist buff such as barfira can help you to survive this. Since it's vulnerable to paralysis, try to use Setzer's 44 mp AoE ailments; it's worth to try.

    Vs Kefka
    15 energy, 1 stage only

First Time Clear reward: 5% TM

    Mission Reward:
    - Clear the quest: 5% TM
    - Use item: 10000 fish
    - Kill Kefka using LB: 15% light resist materia
    - Summon Diabolos and Carbuncle: 40 Def 30 Mag/Spr 20% MP Robe

    Kefka
    Lv.: 99
    Hp: 700k
    Mp: 6k
Resist Physical (very high def), 200% all element resist, null all ailments except blind (90% resist)

    Pattern:
    Ambush attack: ~7 normal attack

Dispel to self > one element resistance debuff to self > -ga tier magic of opposing element (Example: if Kefka debuff fire element resistance, he will cast blizzaga, etc.)

    OR

Dispel to self> AoE Massive magic attack (魔力の暴走, used after he casted 5-8 magic?)/AoE massive physical attack (癇癪)> no debuff/Def debuff to self/Spr debuff to self

Two patterns above are followed by either normal attacks/Single target fire magic attack/Single target Mp drain/Single target Charm ailment (similar to stop, ~3 turns)/Bioga/AoE Blind

    Important:
    - Elemental attacks. Either bring as many as possible or focus on bringing several attackers with one-two elements to aim elemental chain
    - Buff is needed, especially Def/Spr to survive nuke
    - Elemental resist buffs (optional. However, dark resist buff is quite important to survive graviga)
    - Provoke tank (optional)
    - Atk/Mag debuffs are futile because kefka dispels himself every turn. Def/Spr debuffs can help you to increase your firepower but they only work for one turn.
    - Elixir to anticipate MP drain

    Strategy:
Check Kefka's debuff status every turn. You can only give decent damage of debuffed resistance element (example: if kefka has fire element debuff, firaga deals decent damage). Non elemental ignore def physical attacks won't work here unless he has his own defense debuff on, so bringing mages or physical attacker with elemental weapon/abilities for this battle is a must. The fight will be fast with elemental chains.

Graviga is the most dangerous attack aside from physical/ultima nuke so bringing minfillia for dark resist buff is quite recommended. You can withstand physical nuke by using WoL's 25 mp skills+guard+def buff or simply blind him if you're lucky. 魔力の暴走 is survivable by having high number of Spr/Spr buff/Guard.

If you don't have notable elemental attackers, Setzer can be a great help here. His fixed damage ability can bypass Kefka's high defense, and you can boost the damage further by giving him man eater passive/chaining his attack. It will take a long time if you're unlucky, however.

If you're having a hard time to fill your Summon Gauge, try to use normal attacks on the early stage of the battle, bring tanks with counter passives (snow, wilhelm, or equip black belt accessory) or garnet/rydia to use summon gauge fill LB.

    Notable Items:
No exclusive materia this time, but make sure to stock up 1200 prize materias, 10% TM, summon tickets, Metal Cactuars, etc.

    Important notes/tips:

    - AoE attacks are good to wipe out mobs. However, make sure to bring osmose/mp regen/mp heal/ether

    - If you have no specific element that is needed for completing the mission, bring a friend who have that specific element attacks.
    - You still can get LB/esper/magic finish bonus if the damage is included in the overkill. You must time them right with other members' attacks that will kill the boss, especially esper. Awakening class notes (credit to: @さささ with slight edit)
    Spherimorph (final boss)
    Lv.: 100
    Hp: 1,300,000
    Mp: 1,500
100% resist all elements (resist physical 50%?), null all ailments

Spherimorph has only moderate Physical defense and Magic defense but has great number of immunity (not as insane as kefka, though). Spherimorph can be Mag debuffed, but doing so is kinda futile because it dispels itself every necessary turn.

Spherimorph starts in a neutral state and will only do single target skills and attacks. Spherimorph's single target skills include one that deals ~3.5k damage (targets unit who deals physical attacks?) and one that deals ~1.5k damage (one of which inflicts poison).

You can 'trigger' Spherimorph by casting a elemental attack and Spherimorph will counter with the same element. Its counter includes a self-dispel, self debuff of the opposite element you casted, and cast a weak single target/moderate AoE magic attack of the same element you casted (example: if you cast blizzaga, it will counter you with blizzara and reduce its fire resistance.)

Spherimorph will repeat until you change elements or when its HP hits 50%. Strong mages with access to 2 opposite element spells will make short work of this fight (except earth/wind and light/dark. they won't work.)

At 50% HP Spherimorph will do a full team 99.9% HP damage skill plus poison after dispelling itself and returning to a neutral state. Quickly heal your party and remove poison, especially if your max hp is quite low.

Overall fight is easy-peasy. Just bring a strong mage and a good tank to deal with its high single target damage and one shouldn't have any issues. Any combination of units works considering how low Spherimorph's defenses are if it's hit by weakness element + elemental chain.

    Chimera (huge red butterfly)
    Lv.: 100
    Hp: 3,000,000
    Mp: 1,600
50% resist fire/water, null all ailments except blind (50% resist) and paralysis (90% resist)

Look at the ailments resistance. Yep, blind is your best friend here. Every turn chimera uses moderate-high physical attacks, blinding it will make the battle less dangerous. It also uses thundara every turn, you can mitigate it using barthundara.

Its 3 million hp is balanced by not-so-high defense, which means you can defeat it easily by spamming powerful attacks. Beware of its 50% hp threshold, though. Chimera will use AoE powerful water attacks which can be dangerous if you don't debuff him (Atk/Mag debuff is valid) or buffing your party beforehand. It will use physical attack more frequent after the threshold, tanking might be a good idea if your party is having a hard time dealing with this one.

Oh. And you can drain all of its Mp to prevent thundara (and perhaps, aqua breath from 50% hp threshold)

    Last things to be noted;
    1. you may encounter 2 chimera from huge red butterflies in one run (separate battles), avoid huge butterflies if you're not powerful enough to take them down easily.
    2. there are normal encounter chimeras with lesser parameter (Lv 50, 170k Hp). You can tell the difference from battle bgm
    3. You can't use escape ability on Red butterfly chimera battle. Uh oh.

Resist 100% all elements except light (50% weak) and dark (50% resist)
Null all ailments except virus/disease (70% resist )
    Def/Spr debuff are valid

    Attacks:
    - 魔審銃: AoE magic attack
    - Protect, Shell

Quite an easy battle. Conserve your MP here and make sure to heal up before proceeding to the next wave.

2nd wave: Dr. Cid and Famfrit

    Famfrit
    Lv.: 99
    Hp: 2,500,000
    Mp: 10,000
50% fire weakness, 200% resist water, 100% resist light
    Null all ailments
    can't be status debuffed

    Attacks:
    - 蒼の砲撃: Massive ST water attack
    - Waterja: AoE magic water attack
    - 蒼の砲撃を構えた: Idle for 1 turn. Uses 蒼の砲撃 on the next turn.

    Dr. Cid
    Lv.: 99
    Hp: 2,500,000
    Mp: 10,000
Resist 100% all elements except light (50% weak) and dark (50% resist)
Null all ailments except virus/disease (70% resist )
    Def/Spr debuff are valid

    Attacks:
    - Protect, Shell
    - Anti-Magick: Cast Reflect on self
    - 魔審銃: AoE magic attack
    - S27式魔砲を構えた: Idle for 1 turn. Uses S27式魔砲 on the next turn
    - S27式魔砲: AoE powerful magic attack
    - S85式炸裂魔砲: AoE massive magic attack. 90%, 50%, 25% HP threshold nuke

Cid will only cast Anti-Magick at the beginning of the battle; dispel it immediately if you're trying to use magic on him. Cast water resist buff and Spr buff immediately to ensure the team survival; both of them hit very hard. Fully heal your team and defend when they're charging up if you cannot withstand their charged attacks. One important thing; Dr. Cid's threshold nuke is quite dangerous, make sure to cast any mitigation buffs if possible. Summoning Golem or using Rikku's Bar-All/Y'shtola's Lb is a good idea.

Since Dr. Cid can be afflicted by Def/Spr debuff, try to take him down first. Orlandu Holy explosion/Balthier light elemental bullet are effective to nuke him down. Once he's dead, Famfrit will spam 蒼の砲撃 or waterja several times in one turn. If you have water resist buff on, this isn't a problem.

Although both of them have high HP, their Def/Spr stats aren't that high. Any hard-hitting AoE physical/magic attack will greatly help you in this battle. Make sure to dispel protect/shell buff that Cid casts to ensure your firepower still as high as possible.

    Lv.: 100
    Hp: 1,300,000
    Mp: 1,500
Weak 50% to fire, ice, water, light
    Null all status ailments

    Attacks:
    - Hard-hitting AoE physical
    - AoE drain magic attack
    - Normal attacks

The most dangerous thing in this fight is its AoE physical attack. Ash Saurus will spam it multiple times in one turn; resulting 2-3 dead members if you don't put any buff/debuff. Try to cast Def buff and Atk debuff immediately (or mitigation buff) on the first turn. After all buffs/debuffs are on, WoL's AoE cover can handle the situation easily.

Since it can be paralyzed, try to lock spirit ball down using it.

    Shadow Lord
    Lv.: 99
    Hp: 4,000,000
    Mp: 10,000
Null all ailments, 100% resist dark

    Attack Pattern (turn count):
1: AoE attack + Self dispel (starting from 2nd loop onward), AoE Physical + Self Def debuff (98%) + Silence OR AoE Dark magic attack+ self Spr Debuff (98%) + Blind, other attacks*
    2: Other attacks*
    3: Other attacks*
    4: back to number 1

    Other attacks:
    - ST normal attack
    - ST physical + paralysis
    - AoE Dark magic attack (If Def debuffed)
    - AoE physical attack (If Spr debuffed)

    Important:
    - Bring Atk/Mag debuff. Avoid full-break.
    - Dark resist buff.
    - Physical nuke with elemental resist debuff (except dark element)
    - Null paralysis/silence/blind or AoE status cleanse
    - Def/Spr buff
    - Atk buff for better nuking. Minfillia.

Try to atk/mag debuff the boss everytime after he def/spr debuff himself (and in the first turn.) His attack will surely annihilate you if you don't put any atk/mag debuff. The only effective way to deal great amount damage to Shadow Lord is physical nuking him while his Def debuff is on. Magic nuker works when spr debuff kicked in, however physical attack proved to be more efficient since 45 mp abilities usually have complete set of elemental attack + elemental debuff.

If you're struggling to survive the self dispel turn (since his atk/mag back to normal, casting def/spr buff and defending are recommended. WoL's light with us + defend can take all damage directed to other party members. Dark resist buff is also helpful to withstand the def debuff phase.

Since the attacks are turn-based and no threshold nuke, this fight is pretty straightforward.

The videos below might help you to understand how to nuke/the shadow lord turn count.

    Lv.: 99
    Hp: 1,500,000
    Mp: 6,000
    100% resist light
null all ailments except blind and silence

    Attacks:
    - ST holy
    - ST flare
    - AoE wind attack

    Recommended action:
    - Bring Gilgamesh trial's materia OR elemental weapons other than light, dark and earth.
    - Add element to attack buff/ element resist debuff. Tidus/Forren/K. Delita/Balthier is recommended
    - Demon killer
    - Mag debuff
    - Def/Spr buff (Rikku's mitigation is better alternative)

Ultima will grant your party a 'add dark element to attack' buff to entire party on the first turn, rendering your attacks ineffective until the buff is off/you put a dark resist debuff. There are 3 ways to deal with it:
    - Equip elemental weapons.
    - Use Dark resist debuff
    - Use gilgamesh trial materia/dispelga to your party to get rid of the buffs (select a party member as attack target beforehand)

If you're aiming for a fast kill (avoiding 10th turn ultima demons, dispelga, Osmose, etc), make sure to chip away ultima's HP by ~20% every turn. He won't use other attacks when he use full ultima, skipping his dispel/osmose turn count. Keep in mind to have mag debuff and spr buff to survive full ultima, though.

If you're aiming for 11th turn kill, make sure to count the turn. Try to lower ultima's HP to ~10% (and have him debuffed) when 10th turn arrives so you can kill him immediately after ultima demons are summoned. Ultima normal attacks hit hard, blinding him will render it useless. If you're having hard time dealing with ultima demons' magic attacks, try to bring silence inflicting abilities.

Since I'm not in a good condition to write a boss guide, I'll provide battle videos below.

Null all ailments except sleep (80%) and silence (50%)

    Attacks:
    - Normal attack

    The partner
    Lv.: 100
    Hp: 900,000
    Mp: 1,000
    50% resist ice
Null all ailments except blind (90%) and silence (50%)

    Attacks:
    - Normal attack
    - ST physical attack
    - Blizzaga
    - Aeroga
    - LB: AoE ice physical attack (used when hp is low)

    Important:
    - Bring barfira/barblizzara to make the fight easier (optional)
    - All status buff/debuff
    - Silence to seal off magic attack (optional, lasswell's aeroga seems unaffected)
    - Tank (optional)

The battle is pretty straightforward; both of them will spam ST and AoE attacks to take you down. As long as you keep buff/debuff on (especially bar-element-ra to mitigate magic attack), they won't deal much damage. Once their hp is near-low, make sure to reapply buff/debuff, silence (optional) and keep your hp full; their LB and magic spam will have a high chance to wipe your party if you aren't prepared.

    Battle Info:
    Awakening difficulty
Moogle King have high amount of defense and unbeatable unless you can hold him for a long time/nuke him down. It will ambush you by giving you a certain buff that gives all your characters "王様と遊ぶ/Play with Moogle King". One character should use it while the others guarding. On the next turn, "王様の悪口を言う/Talk bad to Moogle King" will be available. After you use it, Moogle King will escape few turns later and the last difficulty will be unlocked.

If moogle king escape and you don't do the process above, last difficulty won't be unlocked.

    5th Difficulty/True Moogle King battle
    [IMG]
The source of all chaos, Moogle King
    Lv.: 99
    Hp: 4,000,000
    Mp: 10,000
50% resist all element except dark
    Null all ailments except blind

    Gimmicks:
    - Buff Def/Spr every 4 turns
    - Massive AoE Fire/Ice/Thunder/Wind/Earth/Light elemental magic attack (Once per turn, will begin to cast 2 element per turn after ~40% HP)
    - AoE poison/blind/sleep
    - AoE poison (ambush)
    - Meteor/Massive ignore-Spr magic damage (Threshold ~75%, 50%, 25%)
    - ST powerful physical attack

    Important!:
    - Keep all status buff/debuff and element resist buff on. You won't survive without them
    - Dispel
    - AoE status cleanse/null sleep equipment for healer

Moogle King hits really hard, you won't survive if you miss any buff/debuff; Make sure to keep them on every necessary turn. Since the battle relies so much on buff/debuff and Moogle King's physical attack isn't that dangerous, you can add an extra nuker/buff-debuffer instead of tank. Moogle King also has high def/spr, so take your best available nukers and dispel him if he cast def/spr buff to keep your dps high.

    10th Area Info
    Recommended:
    - Mp drain/regen/heal abilities or Ether Turbo
    - Strong ST nuke
    - Water/Light elemental attack (Orlandu/Balthier/OK/Tidus)
    - Any defensive buffs such as Spr and Mitigation
    - Sleep resist for healer (optional)
    - High HP (>4000)
    - Rikku's LB/Re-raise/AoE Arise

Surprise! Somehow the last areas difficulty is harder compared to the past story events, especially mob boss at the end of each stage. Each of them has ~900k - 1 million hp, so bringing any ST nuke is recommended for quicker run. Save your mp for the last fight, don't hesistate to use mp-healing item if able. And for the boss:

Callisto, Europa Ver. 2.8 HD Final Mix
    Lv.: 100
    Hp: 2,400,000
    Mp: 2500
50% resist fire, ice, thunder, earth, dark. 50% weak to water, light
    Null all ailments
    Def/Spr debuff valid

    Attacks:
    - Normal physical attack
    - ST thunder elemental magic attack
    - ST powerful magic attack
    - AoE magic nuke (80%, 60%, 40%, 20% hp threshold nuke)
    - AoE sleep (used every 5 turns)
    - Self heal 300k hp (40-20% hp threshold)

You better put all available buff/debuff (especially defensive one) on the first turn and keep them on especially when reaching hp threshold. Having any water/light elemental attacker/nuke will be helpful here to deal moderate amount of damage. A good way to LB finish it is by having 'add water/light element to attack' buff and use LB simultaneously while the buff is on or simply just equip water/light elemental weapon.

Make sure to control your damage output. If you nuke him down and passed multiple hp threshold in one turn, Callisto will use AoE nuke attacks multiple time which can wipe your team easily. Use Rikku's LB for safety if you want to nuke him.

    Recommended Exchange Item:
    - Onion Helm
    - Onion Armor
    - Trust Moogle 10% and 1% x5
    - Tier-5 Enchantment material (Red)
    - Staple Item (elixir, phoenix down, etc.)
    - *6 awakening material. Stocking up, you see?

    Awakening Class info:
    Skinny Kefka
    Lv.: 75
    Hp: 450,000
    Mp: 500
200% resist all element, highly resistant to physical attacks
Null all ailments except blind & disease
    Can only be Spr debuffed

    Gimmicks:
    - Barrier shift: Debuff one element resistance to self
    - Firaga
    - Blizzaga
    - Thundaga
    - Bioga
    - Confuse: ST inflict confuse on target
    - Sleep: ST inflict sleep on target

    Recommended:
    - Don't bring any physical attacker
    - Magic attackers with high magic. Dualcast Blizzaga/Ultima is enough
    - Null confuse/sleep accessory
    - Reflect a.k.a Carbuncle
    - (optional) AoE Status cleanse healer

Hein will always put ice element resist debuff on himself on his first turn, you can nuke him down on the 2nd turn using ice elemental magic. Other option is by using non-elemental magic such as ultima (or Ace's tri-laser +2 ability) since it can deal huge amount of damage. His Confuse and Sleep (which are always casted first in a turn) can be reflected; You can set Carbuncle "Ruby Light" as countermeasure if you only bring one attacking unit/nuker for safety OR cast blizzaga to your party (with ruby light's reflect buff on) on the 2nd turn to deal massive ice damage to Hein.

    Vs. Fiend Matador
    [IMG]
First Time Clear reward: 5% Trust Moogle
    Missions Reward:
    - Clear the quest: 5% Trust Moogle
    - No item used: 10k wind fang (currency)
    - 5-man party: 15% water resist materia
    - Defeat Hein within 15 turns:
Onion Gloves (+3 def/spr, +10% Hp, +15% atk, grants ST hp/mp drain to OK)

    Fiend Matador
    Lv.: 99
    Hp: 4,000,000
    Mp: 15,000
200% resist all element, null all ailments
    Can only be Spr debuffed

    Attacks:
    - Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga, and Bioga (Bioga is casted every 2 turns and inflict poison)
    - Sleep: ST inflict sleep
    - Confuse: St inflict confusion
    - Barrier shift: self fire/ice/thunder resist debuff. Used on ambush turn and every 2-3 turn after
    - AoE Mag debuff
    - AoE Spr debuff
    - AoE fire/ice/thunder resist debuff
    - ST normal attacks

    Recommended:
    - No physical attackers (except non-elemental fixed damage)
    - Fire/Ice/Thunder/Dark resist buff
    - Mag/Spr/Def buff and Spr debuff
    - Mages that have access to Firaga/Blizzaga/Thundaga
    - Null sleep/confuse accessory
    - Carbuncle (optional)
    - Provoke Tank (optional)
    - Non-elemental nuke such as ultima (optional)
    - Status cleanse healer

Basically the fight is the same as awakening difficulty, but now he has more hp, spams more magic in a turn and gains access to mag debuff, which limits your firepower. Hitting Hein elemental weakness (from his self debuff) and elemental chain are more preferable than non-elemental nuke since they can make the fight much more faster and manageable to be cleared within <15 turns. As long as you keep all the buff/debuff mentioned above on and keep your Hp high, this battle isn't that dangerous.

One way to deal huge damage to him is by exploiting Carbuncle's Ruby Light + elemental magic targeting party to deal x6 magic damage from reflect. Make sure to take advantage from this if you only have 1 magic user.

4 difficulty total. 4th difficulty is easy enough to be farmed if you can nuke it with decent setup.

Use it to summon on raid summon banner.
    - There will be personal reward depending on total point you've collected.
    - You can set Raid coin as desired friend gift during raid event duration.

In higher difficulty, Nef Gamrudo has a high chance to drop "Nef Gamrudo Crystal" if you defeat the tail first.

    Raid summon banner list:
    - Hunter Lasswell (*5-6)
    - Hunter Sakura (*4-6)
    - Hunter Jake (*3-5)
    - Crafting materials
    - 5% Trust Moogle for MH collab units
    - Magicites

    Obtainable items/equips
Zinogre Bow (+90 ATK +22 SPR Thunder Element, Bow) Crafting
Nef Gamrudo Katana (+93 ATK Earth Element, Katana) Moogle King 30 Nef Gamrudo Crystal
*6 awakening materials from Moogle King, trade for 2 Nef Gamrudo Crystal
    and many more

    Awakening Difficulty info
    [IMG]
    Nef Gamrudo (Body)
    Lv.: 99
    Hp: 4,000,000
    Mp: 10,000
50% weak to fire and ice
    Null all ailments except blind

    Nef Gamrudo (Tail)
    Lv.: 99
    Hp: 3,000,000
    Mp: 10,000
50% weak to fire and ice
    Null all ailments except blind

    Attacks:
    - Ambush: 30% hp damage, used every 2 turns after
    - AoE Physical damage
    - AoE Paralysis, self attack buff, AoE massive attack (75%, 50%, 25% threshold)
    - ST physical
    - Idle, self Def/Spr debuff if the tail is defeated

If you're aiming to farm in this difficulty, it's better to bring a full-offense party that can 1-2 turn kill the boss. Use the first turn to kill the tail to trigger the self idle and Def/Spr debuff so you can deal a lot of damage on the next turn. High hit count physical nuke with fire/ice elemental weapon and dragon killer passive can quickly kill the boss. Bring Atk/Mag buff and Fire/Ice resist debuff for better damage.

Less than 24 hour, many events will end (FFT, FFBE majin fina, FFII, Phantom Labyrinth). Complete them if you haven't (and if you can afford this), farm some cactuars/turtles/materials if you're in shortage and don't forget to spend all your red orbs (FFT event item) to get some valuable/limited items from Moogle King. Time's running out, players.

The game is up. Gilgamesh trial is available in vortex permanently, and Bahamut event in the vortex. Details will be added later.

Oh. Mary and the emperor batch rate up has ended and replaced by that sweet rate up.

OP updated with several information regarding Bahamut events. Incomplete details will be added occasionally.

I'm not seeing the new rates up banner or the bahamut vortex (I'm still too early in the game to check if it's there or not). Am I missing something here?
