I did some experiments, and each point of faith is 1%. So a mage with 50 faith casting on a unit with 50 faith does the nominal 100%. So vs npc enemies, someone with 30 faith will take roughly half the damage of someone with 97, but will also do half as much magic damage. This seems like a huge penalty to mages; I "regret" starting with Mediena.

Seems to me everyone but your healers should be at 30. Which at 1 per hour is going to take me awhile...

Yeah, I don't understand why Gumi needs to make a double standard for mages in all of their games. Why is Bravery a 0 penalty bonus for physical DPS and Faith a double edged sword? Bravery and Faith should be equivalent to each other, no drawbacks on both, or drawbacks on both. Why doesn't Bravery boost physical damage taken at high numbers while simultaneously lowering physical damage taken at low numbers like Faith does for magic damage?

    Thankyou. very good thread.
    I've done some experiment.
Fina lv 20 Cheers give 6 Faith. I don't think lv 1 Cheer give lower faith. Leveling up cheers for Stats gain is not necessary.
And yes, the faith given in battle is not reduced even after 3 turn.
If you manage to use all 3 Cheers on 1 unit, then they will gain 18 Faith in battle.
After battle you gain permanent Faith 18/4, 4 permanent stats.

Gilgamesh, the new Unit give 12 Faith, but not permanent stat.
I think other units beside Fina cannot give permanent stats.

For Bravery, I usually take Crystals after killing enemy units. I haven't experiment on Owe. And if he do give permanent Bravery, then he will also be the only unit can give permanent Bravery I think.

lvl 1 cheer gives 2 faith.

Robb Hourne has that same samurai skill, but crystals are so much faster

My Ayaka FTH 55 (guess I need to fix that) and my Engelbert FTH 54 (maybe I should lower that a bit) results in a shitty 54% chance of Full Life hitting.
I thought maxing out the ability would fix it but I guess not.
I noticed her either not using it or it not succeeding lately and finally investigated yesterday.
    Good thing I have Fina.
I think I'll 97 Ayaka and maybe 50 Engle and Mont meaning Full Life should be at ~73%...

Are you saying Mont is better with 50 Faith?
I don't really grasp what maxing out Faith and Bravery do.
But I read Mage will receive more damage in exchange increase heal/damage by maxing FTH

More brave = more chances to evade and counter. (Max everyone!)
More faith = more magic success. (Includes both outgoing magic damage as well as incoming magic damage and incoming healing) If you run no healers or buffers, drop your tank and DPS faith super low. (I have to lower them both to 50) I run my Ayaka so they need faith to receive the benefit of her spells.
    FFT had a similar mechanic.
