    This is my own list that I used to refer during DV. I will look for 2 chainers(same family) + 1 finisher with appropriate buffer

    (A) Dealing with machine boss (physical, weak to light)

    Finisher: Regina with neutral weapon, max killer. Mainly use ACCloud in JP.

    Imbue/imperil: Rivera, imbue light which last for 1 turn/imperil 100%. This can be anyone as long as you have the correct imbue/imperil unit

    Buffer: killer buffer, AOE stat buffer. Mainly using Regis for 4 types of 75% killer buff and provide AR chaining skill.

    Debuffer: 74%+ breaker, for instance Summer Lid. Can provide whole team AR chaining skill, to increase chaining points (maximum = 10k points with 100chains). I'm using Rikku in JP server as my main breaker. AOE break + 1T mirage.

    Chainer/Finisher: second strongest DPS you can get. Mostly use Tcast SR chainers in JP.

    Magic tank: Boss which is weak to physical light, usually will deal dark magic damage. Get a autovoke 100% dark resistance magic tank.

    My usual rotation:
    Turn1:
    Rikku : mirage
    Finisher: setup
    Chainer: setup
    Chainer: setup
    Magic tank: cover (autovoke)
    Buffer: setup

    Turn2:
    Finisher: setup
    Chainer: setup
    Chainer: setup
    Magic tank: guard
    Buffer: setup
    lastly, Rikku AOE mirage + break

    Rikku always break on the last turn, last man, cause I prefer not to cross any threshold in the first two turn. Crossing threshold will cause the boss to possible cast AOE imperil and damage the whole team.

    Turn3:
    Chainer: chain x3
    Chainer: chain x3
    Buffer: chain AR
    Rikku: chain AR
    Finisher: Finish it as last hit with 100+ chain count.

    These are the usual rotations for physical-weakness boss in the region 2 and region 3.
    ======================
    If your team/gears are OP, you can try turn2 rotation. If you're doing the first region, try to get it done in the first turn for maximum scores.


    GL DV team
    1. Finisher
    2. MMX
    3. Autovoke+resistance tank
    4. Breaker
    5. Chainer (can self imbue)
    6. Chainer (can imperil)

    First turn:
    Finisher self buff (atk/imbue/killer buff)
    Chainer self buff (self imbue)
    MMX mirror on these 2 units

    Second turn:
    MMX projected mirror all imbue/killer/atk buff to the whole team and everyone enjoy 4Turns of freebies

    Third turn burst

    All GL buffers can be benched once you have an MMX.

    For physical team, it is always Rikku(breaker), Cecil(magical tank) or any physical autovoke-evade tank, a buffer/imperil unit, 2 chainer and 1 finisher.

    For magical team, I have a moderate magical team. Usually go with 3 chainers or 2chainer + 1 finisher. Did not score well under magical boss category.

    My first DV in September, scoring 1.14mil points and ranked at 1k-2k bracket. No regis, no vivi, and not many references out there to learn.

    My second DV (October), scoring 1.18mil points and ranked at 1992, which is under the same bracket. Improved in points and dropped in rank.

    My third DV (November), scoring 1.28mil points after UOCing regis and vivi. Improved a lot of points and ranked at 600+, first time ranked under 1k bracket. Veterans getting boring and thus the rank improvement.

    and my latest DV, with many decent units, I improved again with points and rank. Many veterans like totally not joining the event and thus, I'm just filling the empty seats up there.

    I wonder if they will ban Xon from DV. Really broken being able to give the entire party +150% killers.

    literally whole team 250% ATK/MAG buff + 150%/200% killer.

    Make other support units with 50 or 75% killer buff looks like trash.

    The ranking competition will be absolutely chaotic in GL compare to JP.

    They are far from comparable. Especially with mages, they lack killers in general. Just one example, Diablo Sol: Increase magic damage against demon and human (150%) for 5 turns to caster. The same of course applies to physical, just bring Noctis for 150% killers.

    Regis can't even compete with this.

    Regis is magic killer too. About sol yeah you need to have him and mmXon to apply the buff to everyone.

    But anyway..It doesnt make sense to ban any unit.Some ppl pulled for MmXon (in a split banner mmxon/Aolive)with DV in mind,lets just not make more “panic statements” like the ones when fest was announced for gl..

    Old units:

    Low innate tdh/tdw, low innate atk%, low innate killer (Or none), low mod.

    During enhancement:
    Increase 100% tdh/tdw, increase atk%, increase killer, increase mod to make them relevant.

    ========

    Old finisher:

    Usually comes with 100% to 200% innate killer that makes them able to dish out massive of ONE hit.

    ========

    Now with mmxon

    All new dps with (already) high innate tdh/tdw, with high innate killer and high mod are buff with another 200% of killer where it used to be the trademark of a finisher makes the latest dps ultra broken.

    Imagine a dps with 3k, turn3 burst of 180x mod, then 6x tdw, and top up with equipped 300% killer and now finally buff up by mmxon with 250 to 300%atk + 200% killer.




    Mmxon is indeed a broken (champion) in GL's DV

    Beast boss bring cid for 200% killer

    Spirit/demon/machine bosses bring eRegina for 200% killer

    Undead bring rab

    Dragon bring duke

    Human bring reberta



    You've now covered 7/12 races with 200% killer buff, applying on your finisher and chainers and even on your tanks.
    That's 46/65 bosses in DV.


    DV ranking in GL prediction:

    1. Hyper whale + knowledgeable + mmxon
    2. Hyper whale + mmxon
    3. Whale + knowledgeable + mmxon
    4. Veteran + knowledgeable + mmxon
    5. Veteran + mmxon
    6. Whale
    7. The rest of public
