First and foremost: Thanks to @CamaroWRX for suggesting this ::up::

    Heya forum pals! How's life?
It's been a little while! (for most of you)
Now, as you all may or may not remember, I "quit" (took a break) from the game in early June due to my wanting to enjoy summer to its fullest. Given this summer was the jump from 8th-9th grade (big jump to high school) I wanted to leave FFBE behind to make sure I enjoyed summer before the wave of homework from AP and honors classes inevitably swamped me.
Now, I'd like to tell you all how my summer went.
    It. Was. Awesome.
While some of it (maybe a week total) was spent laying around waiting for something to happen, most of it was spent having a great time.

    June
In June, I took some trips to neighboring Chicago (never bothering to visit @Regalia ::ink::), and did 2 piano competitions, placing 1st in one of them and second in another. I also began work on my Op. 1 for piano, a nocturne which I'm in the process of completing now, and started learning Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata Mov. 3 and Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 1. I celebrated my birthday on a three-day trip to historic Nauvoo with friends from church, a very important place to me as I am LDS. At the end of June, I bid a painful adieu to a dear friend of mine who moved overseas, though next summer I have plans to visit her.

    July
In July, I began preparations for another competition set to occur August 3rd. I went to visit relatives in Mexico City and did a small recital there, playing Liszt's "La Campanella" and Chopin's Etude Op. 10 No. 12 "Revolutionary." When I came back, I started my Op. 2 and 3 for solo piano (still working on those with Op. 1), a waltz and a rondo respectively. I went on numerous overnight trips with friends to different states, wherever we went, my friends always wanted me to perform at a random piano somewhere. I complied most of the time, in New York they wanted me to play on a street piano and I didn't want to but they ended up pushing me into it ::rudecat4::. But in the end it went well and I made 60 dollars ::ink::. At the month's end, I started writing a book (why not) and it's going ok.

    August
This month has been relatively uneventful with the exception of the aforementioned competition on the 3rd, which I came in 1st in (::rudecat3::) just barely after performing Chopin's "Torrent" Etude in the preliminaries to secure my spot, some of the other songs I know for following rounds, and, for the grand finale, Liszt's 12th Transcendental Etude, "Chasse-Neige" and the 8th one as well, "Wilde-Jadg." I also attended an AP boot camp for school for 3 days, and I am revising my Op. 1 nocturne constantly, and I'm very excited to perform it somewhere.

I'm unbelievably grateful to you all for supporting me in my decision to leave, I'll slowly start returning but by bit (maybe not as much first semester, that's always the busiest) but thank you all of my friends, most notably @SlightlyDubious, @Clodia, @Tanatos, @BenMal, @keoten, @Arnatuile (sometimes ::ink::), @Nina, @Regalia, and @Seven for being there with me every step of the way.
And how could I forget mah bois @PhaseShifter, @Kekmet and @Zach2004 for...well...being mah bois.

And everyone else I didn't mention: yes I still care about y'all ::rudecat5::

    And, kids.

    There's a thing called Club's Gamehouse.

    DO. IT.
