    I wouldn't recommend building him as a mage. Unless you lack all other 7* mages, he won't be exceptionally good. In fact, he's pretty bad due to being locked to Freeze / Tornado without any boosts, which makes him a very average mage.

    For tank, just build as much HP/SPR as you possibly can. To find out which build is tankier in your case, simply multiply your HP with your SPR. Whatever gets you the highest result is the best way to go ::up:: .

    Notes:
    Only use WKN as a chain partner for your proper mage, maybe in a 10 man trial or on raid bosses, and maybe in Arena; he's not really good as a mage even though he can build a reasonably high MAG stat.
    No STMRs used, and no IW enhancements added; therefore you can beat these builds. Just substitute in whatever you have that's close to what the builder recommends and you'll be set.
    WKN is a great MAG/provoke tank, use him for this and your team will never die again!

    @Scoustar op should be careful using the second build, it’s weak to dark and fire. May cause issues in certain situations.
    Phoenix as an esper will negate the fire weakness and swapping out hero’s vow for another spr boost or partriotic recall may be beneficial!

    I think you either build WKN as a full tank, or as a Tank with decent mag so his counters and chain actually does something.

    for example....

    he tanks great, even for physical provoke because Bring it On is a ridiculously overpowered ability, and with 1600 MAG the damage is at least slightly relevant.

    Also, I had A TON of luck on my Mateus's Malice and Midnight Star on item world.

    If this build is having a real easy time surviving, just swap some of the defensive gears for more MAG, if it's dying, swap Mateus Malice for a heavy shield or something and you should be fine.

    I'm going to disagree with most of the people here about using him as a mage. I love using him as a mage, but I also don't tend to do trials (unless I have to), so take my advice with a grain of salt.

    His advantage in his magic, in that he can easily hit 2k MAG and can unlock triple cast. Unfortunately, his partners for a triple cast in either Freeze or Tornado is well, low/non-existent.

    However, for (most) content (barring Chamber trials) gearing him for MAG is actually surprisingly efficient, because of his counters. In fact, many/most battles (outside of trials) have him one-shotting bosses with just his counters, even bosses which normally two magic chainers might need one or two turns chaining together to take down.

    However, if gear him just as a tank, you can still utilize his chains. Chainers don't need power to be effective, they just need to chain up your finishing damage.
