    High End Unit Rankings
As I am continously working on the NV spreadsheet focusing on dealing the most damage, I thought I would share an overview of unit rankings. This will be a work in progress thread, so feel free to state what you would like to see. The stated rankings include all possible options you have to boost your burst damage. This includes or excludes the following:
    • Stat buffs.
    • Elemental imperils.
    • Elemental amplifiers.
    • Weapon imperils.
    • Field effects & stacking fields.
    • LB buffs
    • EXCLUDED so far: Multi element usage (for example combining wind and light).
The damage is calculated using the spreadsheet and shows the units peak burst damage for a quick comparison. Evoke damage is reduced to an amount where no killers would be equipped currently. Adding killers will be a bigger task so bear with me until it is finished. :)

    Latest News & Updates [13th May, 2021]
    • FMA Units updated, including GL Buff.
    • Break gauge units need to be re-done, work in progress!
    • Special Notes: * indicates early numbers. Noctis benefits from the field effect combination Aranea + Nyx, where he gets 325% ATK and -155% imperil total on light damage.

Magic damage usually suffers from being locked, though global releases of Shui Yu and Ibara helped a bit to not just have Melo as a strong mage. They are mostly used situational or for DV.

0.78 T - Faris -Neo Vision- (Wind, Sword)

0.49 T - Infernal Fire Rain (Fire, Sword)

Evoke Damage has been dominated by Terra since her release, which might not change for a while. As evoke damage strongly focuses on specific elements, you might need some diversity here. Not everything can be done just with fire damage, and against the stronger bosses in DV she could even be replaced by other elements with lower total damage but higher gain from elemental boosts.

    5. Hybrid Dmg 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

    0.1 T - Kunshira (Multi, Sword)
    X T* - Rain & Fina (I said dont!)

Hybrid Damage Dealers have so far not been the best at burst damage, but manage to offer great damage per turn. Usually they also offer some great overall stats for being bulky and offer other little extras. Still, if you are going for high damage, you rarely see them on your team.

Special Notes: * indicates early numbers. Hybrid numbers currently bugged in the sheet. Rain & Fina for completion, do not use their "hybrid damage" as your second cast clears all debuffs ;)

1.00 T - Savior of Souls Lightning (Lightning)

Break Gauge Damage is by no surprise offering high burst damage and high damage per turn, as you want to mow down an enemy as fast as possible while its broken. LassGen take the top crown, but not by far. It should be noted that the Top 4 has 70% increased damage, while SoS Lightning has access to 30% increased damage.

    Miscellaneous
    • 1. Graceful Champion Fang is the first 7* with a major enhancement boost. Under perfect conditions, Fang is able to crack the 1T mark with a total of 2.3 T damage.
    • 2. Untamed Wolf Edel's numbers move up to 1.34 T when being EX+3. As this is free to achieve, it is worth a mention. For a fair comparison the EX+1 values will stay listed. In the future, EX+3 will be the norm.

Killers doesnt work with evoke damage anyway so I am not sure what you meant by that... Elaborate more on that part because I have few assumptions here but want to be clean and clear.

I think he means that evoke damage was reduced to match equivalent non-evoke damage with killers

Yes, this :) Evoke dmg technically has already killer dmg included, thats why it is reduced to show more accurate comparison as no killers are includes currently

Thanks for the constant updates and future outlooks included here_

question; what do you mean by mazurka’s “raw damage” being 4.24T?
As in what is “raw damage”(all buffs without killers I assume?) and under what conditions (e.g. TDH or TDW?) does she hit that number?

just got real curious after pulling a random mazurka from ex tickets and thinking about investing in her instead of running edgar through fragment quests.
Thanks again for this post and thanks in advance if you can shine a light on this curiosity

    Cheers

Yes, that means all buffs without killers. The high number was being calculated as TDW, and also already when using a wind team (Faris+Bartz). I expect the wind team option to be available prior to the next DV, so I already included it for Mazurka. There might have been a mistake in the sheet formular though, as I re-calculated it step by step and end up with 3.23T. But yeah, this is still extremely high. Remember that TDW is only suitable for plant enemies :)

To your question, as far as I know, Edgar deals only less damage against plant enemies. In all other areas he deals higher damage. In fact .. I think I have not yet calculated the wind damage into Edgars burst. He might even be able to reach it there too.

So, in short: resource-wise I would go for Edgar. Making Mazurka EX+1 is a good idea tho, as in future DVs people use multiple Jumpers.

Glad I saw this! I got her on the weekly 10+1 and honestly, I like her simplicity. Once Genji glove gets buffed, it will greatly help forcing a tdw build. I hope we get that buff. There's probably a better way to build her but so far it's getting the job done.

I see, thanks for the clarification. with the shard dungeon going on and a rather relaxed week, it’s making me think hard about how/who to upgrade and invest in in the long run.
    thank you!

My priorities are NV Terra and LassGen for damage roles. For the rest I either do time limited like Shui Yu or those who I want the STMR, like SoS Lightning.

Updated the charts to the changes regarding wind damage (physical wind field by Faris, physical amplify by Bartz). It lead to a big damage increase in the physical area, where Edgar sits at the top increased from 2.84 T to 3.45 T. Nothing really changed on the Magic area, and Untamed Wolf Edel got a minor damage increase due to better amplify source.

On the break gauge area you will see a unit that surprised me, too. Gilgamesh has not only access to wind damage but also a total of 120% break gauge damage. It seems like his spear and his trust master ability stack, as my calculations have shown damage differences when using only 60%.

    Great work!

But I rather see raw damage and boost damage from field and amplified in a separate column.

Thought about this too. Some units require a lot support while others dont. Gotta see what I can do, maybe I just make the raw/base damage set in the spreadsheet and post the amplified ones here. So much to do, so little time ::ink::
