Duane 3* Lore: A dark knight with arcane powers. Duane was a loyal knight, in service of a certain country, who had reached an impasse in his training. Wanting to grow further as a swordsman, Duane turned to the art of the dark blade at the suggestion of a superior. Afterwards, he was proud to have reached a level of skill to match of his comrades, yet he was cast out by them upon his return, on the grounds that use of dark magic was unbefitting of a knight. 5* Lore: A knight who wields a blade of dark power. Though Duane can control his prodigious powers as a vision now, the jealousy and malice he endured from his comrades while he was still alive has left his mind scarred. Once pure of heart and mind, his grief grew to such an extent that he eventually took his own life. Able to equip various gears, including Heavy Armors and Heavy Shields, makes him quite tanky. He possesses dark elemental skills that are really good as well. Aside from that, he also has access to Power, Magic, AND Armor Break, making him only one skill away from having access to an 'indirect' Full Break. This makes him useful to have in your party if you don't have other units capable of 'Breaking' enemies. Darkness is a very powerful AoE move that Duane can use to inflict mass damage, but it comes at the cost of 30% of his HP. So if you intend to spam this move, be sure to have a healer in your party to heal him back up. This move can actually kill you if his HP gets below 30% of his max HP. This is the only downside to the move. Along with Darkness, Duane also gets access to another extremely powerful skill, 'Death'. This skill has a 30% chance to OHKO a targeted unit. While it does not work on bosses; it can still be used on powerful normal enemies in the Colosseum for example, to speed things up a notch. Duane also comes with the ability to counter attack Magic attacks at a 30% proc rate. Useful for bosses that like to use Magic, allowing you to get a few free attacks in if RNG is kind to you. The only con I can think of for Duane is that I would've liked to see his ATK higher. Another unit that has access to some of his skills (Garland), has higher ATK which results in being able to dish out even more damage. On the other hand, Duane does get more SPR again, so he's more resilient against Offensive Magic. (And he also gets a passive 50% resistance vs. Dark element attacks). All in all a very solid unit, and really awesome to have in your party, especially if you don't have access to units like Vaan with Full Break.
