Today, we have our review on Ramza and how well he compares in the Global meta. As usual leave comments, and questions. And enjoy the review! This makes him less likely to be slowed down when he needs to support, or deal damage to enemies. The only other unit that compares at the time of his release was CoD. Which is great for Ramza, cause this makes him feels a bit more special. All Passives Boost: Ramza is the first unit in Global to have received more that standard tier passives. Ramza gets boosts in pretty much all of stats except MP. On his release this was great, cause it allowed him to be more durable alongside his Justice passive to make his job as support/DPS that more solid for him as a overall unit. Hero's Rime: Why this skill is actually good is that it allows Ramza to take the focus, and allow other units who play different roles to be more flexable. Say you don't need debuffs? Then why not use this move? It's a cheap +40% boost to all your stats. It does lock him down however, but if you don't really need Ramza for anything else. Then this move becomes extremely viable for the fact that Healers/Tanks that do possess buffs can save some MP doing their main jobs which is good for team structure. There's also no real pressure to use this move he also has Cheer, and his LB to boost up stats as well provided you don't wanna be locked down. Good Offensive Breaks: Ramza has the ability to break both ATK/MAG of foes. This is really good considering the fact that this defuses them in a way to make them more dealable from their more powerful attacks, or even threshold wise from bosses/trials. They're also really reliable as well. 5 turns of being debuffed allows Ramza and your team to do alot in that time as opposed to the standard 3 turn debuffs which allows for less time and considerable more MP loss to reapply said debuffs. Cons: Ultima: Ramza doesn't have the best tools needed to use this move to it's best ability. Ramza does at the very least have a MAG +30% passive which would help a bit. But, the main problem is he lacks the MP + good weapons with considerable MAG boost. So, I really wouldn't rely on using this move as a means to get damage off. Doing so would make him feel MP heavy, and more hard to sustain. PvP Arena: Ramza isn't too strong here, but he is solid for PvP Arena for a few reasons. He can defuse enemies down with ATK/MAG debuffs allowing you to handle the teams more carefully. He even if it's not the best tools can use Ultima which can easily hit the 999 damage cap with minimal work needed. He can also play full support by buffing teammates, and passing Entrust to allow for some of the more stronger LBs to be used. Trust Mastery Award: Brave Suit is one of those TMs that takes a very high priority listing. It's one of the only few TMs in the game right now that gives % boost on clothing. And it will stay this way for a considerable amount of time. I honestly don't think that Brave Suit won't ever really be reduced in popularity for a long time to come. So, I would heavily consider farming this TM if you do pick up a Ramza. Comparing to Other Units: - Delita Ramza has passives in all stats, as opposed to Delita who only has passives in HP/ATK only. Ramzas debuffs are more relevant to use as opposed to Delitas. Delita can put more damage on the board, as opposed to Ramza. Ramza has more options in support, as opposed to Delita. Overall Verdict: Ramza definitely wins when it comes to the support card. Ramza and his debuffs are way better to take on content at hand cause it gives your team that extra safety. While Delita allows your team to hit a little bit harder, if it's not well structured then problems can ensue on the recieving end on the attacks from your enemies. Delita however can puncture some enemies with his Barrage, and DEF ignore attacks. As a team, these two work quite well together really since they kinda cover each others weaknesses. Like for example, Ramza has Cheer (ATK/DEF buff), while Delita has Meditate (MAG/SPR buff) and you can see how that works. And the same is for their debuffs. They're essentially two sides of the same coin. Conclusion: If you've picked up Ramza, have some fun with him . He's super versatile and there isn't really too many units who can fit his shoes ever. So, explore some builds with him and make your teams feel rather unique with him in it. I would be happy if I pulled a Ramza cause he's a fun, and creative unit to use in teams. So, I fully recommend you try for him.
