A young man who appears in the tales of holy stones known as auracite in the distant world of Ivalice. Although Delita has been friends with Ramza since childhood, he is of common birth. Once he finally began recognizing the gap between them due to their social standing, he lost his sister Tietra to the strife involving House Beoulve. This tragedy would lead him to part ways with Ramza, and send him down a path in which nobles would no longer be able to manipulate him. Determined to realize his new ambitions, he joins the Church of Glabados and poses as a knight of the Order of the Southern Sky to kidnap Princess Ovelia from Orbonne Monastery.
K.Delita is a pretty awesome unit with high versatility. Compared to the other Delita, he is not utterly trash and has serious potential!

Blade of Dark Desire (Max / 16 LB-Crysts): Physical damage (4.1x) and decrease ATK/MAG (64%) for 3 turns to one enemy

    Pros:
Knight Delita (K.Delita) has pretty high ATK base stats, which is great for any DPS. Alongside that, he has a total of 80% ATK passives when equipped with Heavy Armor and Swords, which is above average therefor really good. 80% ATK passives on a unit that has an awesome equipment selection is really good and opens up a lot of equipment choices in the future.

Other than that, K.Delita has average base stats which get boosted by another 20% DEF and 30% HP to increase his overall survivability a lot. You will also equip Heavy Armor on him, which usually have really high DEF stats. He also has status ailment protection against blind, sleep and paralyze, all of them are awesome resistances. All of these can hurt physical DPS units pretty bad and it's nice to have them.

K.Delita also has an Auto-Regen and Auto-Refresh in the same ability. Of course, Auto-Regen is not the strongest, but he basically gets it for free to, again, increase his survivability. It makes it also easier for your healer and somewhat counter heals Poison damage if needed. Not the most awesome ability but still something.

Now, we are getting to his high versatility part. And I gotta say, I really like this part.

K.Delita has so much to offer. Let me start with his AoE Heal.
He basically damages himself for 100 Damage, which you will get back with Auto-Regen, so it's basically an AoE except himself heal. This is a simple Curaja to everybody except himself, awesome to have in emergency situations. Really amplifies versatility.

After that, K.Delita has two minor moves which will not be used often but are still there.
Stasis Sword to apply ST Stops, can be useful for beginners in Story / Event content, but in Trial content completely useless. Still, you are not forced to use it so it's good to have. Also, Lightning Stab is a great option for beginners for easy and somewhat strong elemental chains. Of course, this does not apply for anybody who is levelling K.Delita instantly, but like I said, for Beginners, especially for those who cannot awaken him, Lightning Stab is awesome.

Moving on, we have Knight Delita's high versatility breaks.
With Hellcry Punch, he can either break the enemy's ATK and MAG by 40% for 3 turns, awesome to have since it's both breaks in one.
Then he has the option to either break the enemy's ATK OR DEF by 40% for 5 turns, which is basically the prefered option against high physical based enemy's or MAG break immune enemies since it lasts 5 turns instead of 3 turns. He can also act as DEF breaker to increase your physical DPS by ~60%.

But his most outstanding break is his maxed Limit Break. One of my favourite LB's, it's awesome.
It has the strongest ATK/MAG breaks in the game with a whopping 3 turn 64% ATK/MAG break. After these breaks, the enemy will not deal any damage anymore.
His LB are really high breaks, do not underestimate that. Also, ATK/MAG breaks are always the best breaks once they can be applied. I highly recommend maxing his LB, it's fricking beautiful.

Again, something minor but still worth mentioning are his 30% physical counters. These are great because they are not regular normal attacks. They have a 200% modifier, which is basically 2x a normal attack in terms of damage. And K.Delita has a very high ATK to offer. Really nice counters.

Now, we finally reached the final and best part. K.Delita with these moves has really strong damage potential in the near future once we get better TMR's.

First, he has an 8-Hit move with a 400% Modifier which adds thunder attacks to him for 5 turns. This is a pretty strong chaining move, has the same base power as Orlandeau, Aileen, Fohlen etc etc. with basically innate thunder elemental due to the addition of Thunder Attacks.

And right after that, he gets a really strong finisher move, that has a 500% modifier with a 50% thunder imperil. This move is really strong and is essentially a somewhat weaker version of Dark Knight Cecil's Soul Eater +2. Strong finisher, strong chainer, strong breaker. Beautiful.

    Cons:
Knight Delita has some flaws though. Two major ones actually.

The first and probably the biggest is, that he needs someone else to imperil for him. Yes, he has the ability to imperil, but that wastes a turn either way. If you want him to use thunder damage, you will waste a turn. Either by adding thunder attacks to him or by having to Imperil while not having thunder attacks. This means, you either want to equip another elemental and use him as a Finisher due to him adding thunder attacks on his finisher, or you will need someone else to imperil thunder resistance, e.g. Olive or Ace. But then he loses out on ATK, because of the next flaw.

Our current TMR's do not support thunder damage. Besides Randi's TMR (which is a limited 5* base TMR), we do not have any non-elemental swords that are strong due to DQ Collab being cancelled (would have a 105 ATK non-elemental sword with machine killer).
Also, we CURRENTLY do not have the TMR from a 3* base, which is a 120 ATK thunder large sword. So give K.Delita some time and he will have a lot better DPS potential :).

His current equipment selection is definitely not fitting in the meta. Heavy Armor is often inferior to Brave Suit, non-elemental swords are a rarity, thunder swords are basically non-existent, you will have to wait for a couple of TMR's to make K.Delita awesome.
    Either Onion Knight or Sylvia
    Dark Veritas
Grom (for the 120 thunder large sword)
    Werei etc.

Other than that, MP is a huge problem for K.Delita. He has a pretty low MP stat with no MP passives, only the MP refresh, which will only refresh 11 MP per turn with max MP pots. This is nothing, his main moves cost 45 or 50 MP, so he will need someone to refresh MP for him. He also can't refresh MP by himself, so yeah, prepare for MP problems.

Something I kinda hoped for, is, that K.Delita gets a seperated 5-Turn MAG break or a SPR break at least. He can't help your mages at all, which of course is not his main purpose, but he definitely has a high debuff variety. Though his LB MAG break is still obnoxious.

Also, Knight Delita is quite vulnerable to magic attacks due to having a rather bad SPR base stat with no SPR passives, this might be a problem.

There are some future cons which I will talk about in a second.

    Side-Notes:
There is a lot I want to talk about.
Knight Delita has awesome synergy with a couple of units that lack some power in the meta to truly shine.

Knight Delita is an awesome chainer for a Dual Cast Ashe with her Thundaja, which is a pretty powerful spell (especially with the reflect method).

Also, Ace is pretty much one of the best units you could use with Knight Delita. Ace can imperil the enemy's Thunder Resistance for 75% so Knight Delita can chain his 8-Hitter without much to worry about. Also, Ace can handle K.Delita's MP problem perfectly. So I definitely see some synergy here.

Olive is a pretty good candidat as well since either K.Delita or Olive can imperil Thunder for the other "component". K.Delita can also chain for Olive, so there is that.

The upcomming 2B is also massive with a K.Delita setup, since 2B needs a lot of setup by herself to achieve her destructive power, while K.Delita can actually help her out so she does not need to waste a turn to imperil the thunder element while K.Delita can also act as a powerful finisher. So again, pretty good team up in my opinion.

Other than that, K.Delita's enhancements truly are not the best. I am actually quite disappointed, but they still have some good aspects.
First of all, he gets another 60% ATK passives for a total of 130% ATK passives, truly amazing. This is by far his best enhancements.
K.Delita also gets a 50% stronger modifier on his finisher as well as 10% higher thunder imperil, yeah, not the best. Its costs are also huge for that.... Don't like that.
His counter has a higher chance to proc while also breaking the enemy's def for 50%, can be pretty strong, but not necessarily good.
His 8-Hit move did not get any enhancements which I am sad about.

    Arena:
I do not see any usage of K.Delita in here. No AoE moves, no status ailment inflicition, no instant death moves, nothing. Pretty much a wasted slot.

oh god, comparisons.... too many to cover.

In the following, I will do 9 comparisons. 5 Chainer, 3 Finisher, 1 Breaker.... why.

    FYI:
    K.Delita's BiS (with Manablade):
    Manablade
    Save the Queen
    Black Cowl / Rider's Helm
    Demon Mail
    Bracer
    Genji Glove
    2x QA / Wisdom
    Large Sword Mastery
    Dark Knight's Soul

    ==== 994,5 ATK

    Comparison: Fryevia (Chainer)
    - Fryevia is elemental locked
    - Knight Delita is semi-elemental locked
    - Fryevia's equipment selection matches perfectly currently
    - Knight Delita's equipment selection does not match with his Thunder elemental at all
    - Fryevia has the imperil on her chaining move
    - Fryevia has way higher DPS due to hybrid mechanics and the MAG DW mechanics
    - Knight Delita has higher survivability
    - Knight Delita's breaks are overall way better

As a chainer, Fryevia wins by a lot. K.Delita cannot reach her, even with the perfect equipment just because the hybrid mechanics with a MAG build are pretty much broken.
K.Delita does not have the innate imperil on his thunder move, he does not have innate thunder elemental (it's one move delayed which drops his overall damage), he has lower DPS due to ATK against MAG and also an overall lower modifier.
Fryevia straight out wins against K.Delita as a chainer.

    Comparison: Orlandeau (Chainer)
    - Both have the same base ATK but Knight Delita has higher ATK Passives (10%)
    - Knight Delita has the better equipment selection
    - Both have the same status ailment protection
    - Knight Delita is a way better breaker
    - Orlandeau's chain has the same base modifier with 1 less hit
    - Orlandeau has the imperil innately on his Divine Ruination
    - K.Delita loses out on ATK due to our current TMR's
    - K.Delita has a higher survivability due to 20% DEF passives
    - Both have MP problems, though Orlandeau can MP drain the enemy

... which means, that K.Delita with the right setup and future TMR's will outdamage Orlandeau. For the current moment not.
So overall, I'd give this one to Orlandeau, but K.Delita definitely will be better due to future TMR's and him having 1 more hit, which might sound strange, but 1 more hit means less damage on each hit means a chain will deal more damage overall.
But in a real fight, I'd use K.Delita over Orlandeau because of his breaks. K.Delita's breaks are awesome. He can also act as an emergency healer, which especially in Aigaion I found really useful with Rikku's Al Bhed Potion.

    Comparison: Aileen (Chainer)

    - Both have the same ATK stat but K.Delita has higher ATK passives (20%)
    - Aileen has a far stronger Equipment Selection
    - Aileen has innate imperil on Piledriver
    - Piledriver has 3 less hits and is hard to chain
    - K.Delita has way higher survivability
    - K.Delta has really strong breaks
    - K.Delita's heal is way better
    - Aileen's BiS has far more ATK (1044) than K.Delita (945)

Overall, as a pure chainer, Aileen (again) wins against him. K.Delita's equipment choices limit him far more than you might think. But in the future, K.Delita will outdamage her due to having better equipment and 3 more hits, depending on the damage split, will change a lot of the damage output.
Also, K.Delita is most likely easier to chain with than Aileen.
But yet again, if you want to have higher versatility in a unit, K.Delita is the unit to go. He can swap from being a finisher to chainer, can break, etc.

    Comparison: Tidus (Chainer)
    - K.Delita has higher base ATK and way higher ATK passives (30%)
    - Both have no imperil on their chain nor innate elemental
    - Tidus' equipment selection is far better due to his own TMR Brotherhood
    - K.Delita has a weaker imperil (50% less)
    - Tidus has 4 more hits than Delita, with a good damage split, which will outdamage quite significantly
    - Both have awesome supportive aspects
    - K.Delita has higher survivability
    - Both have the same status ailment protection
    - Tidus has a 30% dodge chance
    - Tidus has 3 innate killers

Tidus easily wins due to his maxed LB. Both have a good versatility, both can be used as chainers and as finishers (Fixed Dice on Tidus), both have good survivability.
Overall, I will give this one to Tidus and I would use Tidus over K.Delita any day, which might not be necessarily the case because of his sole kit. ::ink::
But yes, Tidus definitely is a stronger chainer.

    Comparison: Fohlen (Chainer)

    - K.Delita has way higher base ATK
    - K.Delita's equipment selection is far better
    - Both have no imperil on the chain and need to waste a turn / setup
    - Fohlen has innate wind elemental on his chain
    - K.Delita can achieve higher ATK than Fohlen
    - Fohlen's survivability is way higher than K.Delita's
    - Fohlen has huge dodges
    - Both have way better future potential
    - K.Delita has way higher versatility and supportive aspects

K.Delita straight up wins. He has higher damage output since there are other units who can imperil thunder for him while there aren't really viable wind imperil users, he has the better equipment selection, he has the versatility, etc.
So K.Delita is the winner as a pure chainer.

Comparison: Enhanced DKC + Enhanced Luneth (Finisher)
    [IMG][IMG]

    - DKC / Luneth have way higher modifiers
    - DKC has a way higher imperil
    - Luneth has way higher ATK passives (60%)
    - Luneth has a very high versatility in equipment
    - Luneth with Brotherhood or regular BiS DKC have both higher ATK and way higher DPS

There is no real competition for Luneth and DKC right now, both are devastating finishers. While K.Delita has some breaks, his DPS as a finisher is just way below these two guys. Way below. That's why I will do a little bit fairer comparisons with the Finishers.

    Comparison: Olive (Finisher)

    - Olive has slightly higher base ATK
    - K.Delita has his finisher on his finishing move
    - Olive has thunder elemental with Sparky
    - Olive needs a turn to imperil the enemy, while K.Delita needs a turn to add thunder attacks
    - Olive's True Shot is an effective 6.2x Mod after Imperil, K.Delita's Finisher an effective 7.5
    - Olive's LB without the imperil is far stronger

So, this is very situational, just like Firion.
K.Delita with his own imperil wins against Olive with her own Imperil assuming the enemy is not vulnerable to DEF breaks / should not be. Or in the case where you already have a DEF breaker. But this is just a comparison between True Shot and K.Delita's Finisher.
If you put in her LB every turn Olive wins.
BUT, if you have 2x her LB in 5 turns, which means 2x Shattering Shot, 1x True Shot and 2x LB (sounds pretty realistic, LB crysts can be very random), she DOES NOT outdamage K.Delita. It's only a slight loss in damage, but it's there.
    So, TL;DR:
    - K.Delita with Imperil without Olive imperil -> Win
    - K.Delita with Imperil , Olive with Imperil -> Win
    - K.Delita with Imperil, Olive with Imperil and 2x LB in 5 turns -> Win
    - K.Delita with Imperil, Olive with Imperil and LB 3x in 5 Turns -> Loss
    - K.Delita with Imperil, Olive with Imperil and DEF break (without a def breaker in the team) -> Loss
    So it's a ~50/50 win lose.

    Comparison: Vargas (Finisher)

    - K.Delita has higher base ATK and higher ATK passives (10%)
    - K.Delita has the better equipment selection
    - K.Delita's equipment choice is worse (currently)
    - Both have the same modifiers
    - K.Delita has an imperil on his own Finisher
    - K.Delita has a better survivability
    - K.Delita has very strong breaks

Since Vargas has a little higher ATK with his BiS, this means as long as you have the same fire imperil as well as thunder imperil, Vargas will outdamage K.Delita most likely. He might not outdamage due to the DW mechanics, but I am certainly sure that he will.
So, if you have the right setup, Vargas wins, but most of the times you won't thus K.Delita wins.
Also, K.Delita's versatility is just way more valuable than basically pure damage.

    Comparison: WoL (Breaker)

    - WoL has stronger breaks as ability
    - WoL's breaks are AoE
    - K.Delita's abilities are weaker
    - K.Delita's abilities have twice the chance to proc (for e.g. 50% resistances)
    - K.Delita is way easier to MP sustain
    - K.Delita's LB is obnoxious

The outcome might surprise you. WITH the following build @Parade , K.Delita will win and will be a fucking nightmare:
    Bowie Knife
Mana Blade / any sword, most preferable brotherhood
    Rider's Helm / Black Cowl
    Grand Armor
    2x Prodigy Goggles
    2x Jack TMR
2x Emperor's Majesty or 2x Wisdom (depends what you want)

    Stats:
704 ATK with Mana Blade (odin; can vary from the choice of your swords) and 1x Wisdom (~19 ATK loss with emperor's majesty, but higher MP regen)
    ~6.9k HP
    24 MP / turn (2x Emperor's Majesty); 17 MP / turn (1x Emperor's Majesty + Wisdom or weapon mastery)
    354 DEF (odin)

Alongside with a team member using Rikku's TMR for Turn 1
Mana Blade / Any Sword you want (preferably Brotherhood)
Save The Queen / Genji Blade
    Rider's Helm / Black Cowl
    Grand Armor
    Genji Glove
    Prodigy Goggles
    2x Jack TMR
Large Sword Mastery / Blade Mastery
    Dark Knight's Soul

871 ATK with Brotherhood, compared to the previous 700 ATK build.
This is a 6 LB Crysts per turn Build with a little more DPS but less tankyness. For the people who want more damage :).

With this build, he has a lot of tankyness and still somewhat high ATK. Also, he gains 8 guaranteed LB crysts per turn, has 11% MP regen, and with someone using Rikku TMR, you will have his LB every turn or every second turn, which means after Turn 1, the enemy will always be 64% broken in ATK and MAG.
Thus, K.Delita still has a lot of time to apply damage with his finisher / chaining move, which means you can adjust him to your team. You can also swap out 1x Emperor's Majesty or Wisdom for Dark Knight's Soul to increase your damage output.
K.Delita in my eyes, WITH THIS BUILD (which is pretty beginner friendly since Kelsus is free and Jack a 3* base unit), is the absolute best GL breaker.
Keep in mind that you have to max his LB first.

So you have two build options.
A tanky, every 2 turn guaranteed LB build with high MP regen.

    Or

A DPS heavy, every 3 turn guaranteed LB build which will function great in Tidus chains as finisher :).
    Both really cool builds.

    Trust Master Reward:
This is the best heavy armor in the game, it's even more worth to ditch Demon Mail for Grand Armor because of the raw stats and 15% HP. Definitely a great TMR in my book and I recommend farming it.

    Conclusion:
K.Delita is one hell of a cool unit, high versatility, high damage, insane breaks.
I recommend going for him, but the problem is, the banner has two 5*'s. The M.Ramza review will come soon, though I do not value him as high as K.Delita.
But definitely be happy to pull him, he is awesome.

    @TLA 's: Should you Pull?

    Character Design: 10/10
    Sprite: 8.5/10
    Chainer: 8.5/10
    Finisher: 8.5/10
    Breaker: 9.5/10
    Limit Break: 9.5/10
    Free 2 Play: 7.5-8/10
    Pay 2 Play: 9/10
    Personal Rating: 9.5/10
    Optimal Rating: 9/10

I hyped myself way too much after writing the review again. *sigh*

    Have a nice day!

He actually has the highest possible ATK stat in GL right now.
I assume you meant "two". =P

Great review as always! I won't pull for him (or any other unit in this banner) besides dailies, but I definitely would be happy to see him popping out a daily. I like his design, his versatility and Delita overall. All the hate he received in the past and his recent uses in trials made me like the character. xD

No, he has not. K.Delita doesn't even hit 1k ATK ^^.
Also, I already fixed the "Twp" :D

    And thanks :3
I like Delita, though the standard Delita is rather bad...

After the Aigaion trial I now believe that Fry is the chainer win the highest survability in the game, she was surviving 20k attacks with 1 hp and dodging follow ups and if she does die the mechanic resets. Combined that Witt the fact that her BIS gives her high elemental resist and her high SpR I don't know how accurate it is to say that Delita has way higher survability since I'm sure he'd get destroyed by Aigion with every hit.

I also believe that Delita is a better chainer than Aileen given that they have same mod and he has 3 more hits but I guess that's debatable since Aileen's BIS gives her much more Atk than Delita's does currently.

Very well written review though, I think I might pull for him just for that TMR if anything.

I like the look of him, but I still can't justify pulling on this banner with Nier around the corner & him not being a limited unit. I'll do the free 10+1 (seeing as Nier isn't included) during his banner. If he shows up, great. If not, it isn't meant to be!

Do you have more info about KD's chaining skill? WIll he stand or have to move to chain? Also, his chaining move is a 8-hit one, which, I am afraid, means he is going to only be able to chain with himself (no other top-tier chainers have a 8-hit chaining move). And this, in turn, I am afraid it means nobody will be able to use him as a chainer, practically speaking: you'd need to rely on a friend KD, but how many people are going to put up KD as their lead, with all the other chainers around? Even without considering the fact that few people will actually manage to pull him, Orlandeau users will keep him up, because Orlandeau is and will remain the most reliable and versatile chainer, and Tidus users will keep Tidus up, given how everybody likes that magnification gesture thing. This means, I am afraid, KD will have more or less the same fate of Fohlen: impossible to chain with because nobody has him as their lead.

His TMR is amazing: any tank will drool on it, especially Wilhelm. Too bad it's going to remain a dream for me.

I ran a 300 SPR 5k HP fry and yes, she survived the AoE attacks easily, but a right Delita build would have lead to the same results because Fry died somewhat often to the ST attacks, which would not have hurt K.Delita as much. Rather than K.Delita being completely obsolete in Aigaion due to thunder resistance AND thunder nukes from the arms.

Delita is probably a better chainer as it is, but deals less damage for sure because he loses out on one action of thunder damage on his chain. But I have faith in this boy.

I will not spoiler any of you, M.Ramza review either tomorrow or during the Maintenance. His DEF/SPR increase will only amplify my arguments, since he doesnt get any really new OUTSTANDING global exclusives that 100% change his playstyle.

Fry's ability to survive fatal blows and dodging magic and physical makes her harder to kill than Delita imo, doesn't matter if it's Aoe or ST attacks. Well agree to disagree though.

magnification gestures or just being used to Fry makes getting the perfect chain with her easy )and Delita would lose out in dmg even if he had built in imperial in his chaining move, that's not a contest, only chainer that could somewhat compete with Fry is Tidus and even he loses out by about a couple of million dmg .

Edit- I'd add that no matter how you build Delita he wouldn't survive Aigion big St attacks but Fry does.

    Just short update:
I updated the text in the WoL section a bit.

I've noticed that you can change his build to only 6 Auto-LB crysts since you can achieve the LB all 3 turns with this while it lasts for 3 Turns, so you can have either more tankyness or more ATK :).
