A young Elvaan girl from the distant world of Vana'diel. Contrary to her cute looks, she has a hearty personality, and is a proficient martial artist. A free-spirited girl who once led the Tavnazian Safehold's patrol and would even enter into dungeons alone, for some reason she came to be known as an "abominable child," and was confined long ago to a cathedral.
More monks, more fun. Bring it on, sister fisters *cringe inc*.
Just kidding, I haven't played FFXI and I actually never bothered with Prishe in Dissidia, so.... who's prishe :^)?

Decrease DEF/SPR (64%) for 3 turns to one enemy

    Pros:
    Prishe
is a very cool unit to play around with.
She starts of with amazing overall basestats and the 30 pots split.
That means, she has high HP, decent MP, decent ATK, high DEF and high SPR. Once you equip a fist to her, she gains a total of 60% ATK and 50% SPR! For a DPS unt, that is surely a lot of SPR already.

But this time, I want to talk about her amazing tankyness.
Prishe gets a total of 50% HP with good base HP, 50% SPR with strong base SPR and 20% physical dodge coupled with a ~2k heal per turn as regen and 5% MP refresh.
Yeah, this sounds amazing. Prishe is one of these very few DPS units that are incredibly tanky for their matter. And this is just over the board, she will have huge HP and really good SPR, which is currently amazing due to physical tanks being the only tanks. Fohlen is kinda similar.
Prishe also gets a full immunity towards blind and paralyze, fine enough. Can be really annoying status ailments and not too many equipment choices negate them.

Prishe has access to the old Curaja (global name change that's unnecessary), which is fine. She can equip robes and staffs in case you want a support Prishe and her heals even without them shouldn't be too bad. But not that recommended.

She can also sustain herself very good with Chakra, which heals her for 30% HP/MP. Mostly useful for the MP part since you don't have to bring a MP battery with her to actually have MP.

Now, Prishe has a lot of different combos that empower a lot of her abilities. I will cover them in a second, just keep in mind the following abilities are most likely stronger in their respective combo.

Swelling Vitality is decent enough AoE MP refresh over 3 turns that can help you out sometimes if you lack a MP battery.
Crushing fist is a straight forward 45% ST 3 turn ATK/DEF break, I can definitely see this come in handy from time to time. Not too often to see this being a thing on DPS units.
And Will to Live is a ST 80% Auto-Revive similar to Rem. So if you were just using Rem for re-raising purposes, Prishe can now take the job of Rem in that case as well and be quite a decent re-raiser. Adds to her versatility ofc.
EDIT: It seems that it can only be casted to her (Will to Live), so forget that part. Only Will to Live+ is really good, unless you need Prishe to be a re-raise bait for Aigaion.

Adding to that, she has a lot of mediocre attacking moves with Asuran Fists, Tornado Kick and Berserk Attack. But there is a clue to it.

You can use combos with Prishe. A lot of abiltities will suddenly become monstrous.
The former ST Re-Raise now becomes AoE, which is amazing. It's basically Rikku's LB.
The MP AoE Refresh now becomes an AoE 130 MP Recover, that's almost the best MP roll with Ace's support hand +2. Crushing fist becomes AoE as well.
But now she gets new damaging moves. All the previous attacking moves depending on the combo now become decently strong.

But Tornado Kick+ enables Prishe Special (with DW for two turns it seems).
That's a 1000% 15-Hit move and while it seems to be difficult to perfectly chain due to 4-4-4-4-4-4 frames and moving, its mod is incredible. 1000%? Yeah, that surely is very strong once you get it. And that will definitely make her able to compete. It ALSO adds a 50% damage mitigation for 2 turns to Prishe, which makes her already really high bulkyness even stronger. Amazing move.

While she gets to Prishe Special, Prishe will also get a self 100% ATK buff in case you don't run ATK buffers, she will outdamage a lot of units.

And these are the following combos you want to do:

DPS: Raging Fists -> Berserk Attack+ -> Tornado Kick+ -> Prishe Special -> Prishe Special
This is basically the best DPS rotation you can do and it takes 5 turns for a full rotation.

AoE DPS: Raging Fists -> Crushing Fist+ -> Asuran Fists+
Support: Raging Fists -> Berserk Attack+ -> Will to Live+
MP Battery: Raging Fists -> Berserk Attack + -> Will to Live+ -> Swelling Vitality+
Breaks: Ragings Fists -> Crushing Fist+

She doesn't seem to be too complicated but she can do a lot of stuff if you just give her some time.
Prishe can do ST OR AoE Re-Raise with 80% HP.
She can do ST or AoE 45% ATK/DEF break.
She can AoE MP Refresh or 130 AoE MP Recover.
She can do decent AoE chaining and insane ST chaining.
While having huge bulkyness and this kind of versatility.

    Cons:
    Prishe
    sadly has some problems.
Her base attack is kinda low with a max of 178. That's still decent and definitely not the worst, but it tones down her damage by quite a bit.
Also including that she can equip to offensive weapons pretty much. Daggers and Knuckles. While knuckles are super good equipment choices, Daggers aren't as strong as some other equipment in many cases, not all. So she loses on quite a bit of potential attack that she could have.

I mentioned earlier that Prishe has incredible versatility at excellency.
But there is a huge problem with that: everything is massively delayed.
Her AoE re-raise is delayed by 2 turns, which means you will be able to cast it at turn 3.
Her AoE MP Recover is delayed by 3 turns.
Her Prishe special is delayed by 3 turns.
Her AoE chaining is delayed by 2 turns.
Her AoE break is delayed by 1 turn.

So you have to manage that in case to fully utilize that versatility, because you cannot simply spam the AoE Re-raise like Rikku can with her LB, you will always have breaks in between which makes it not as attractive as it could be.

Using a finisher with her might be difficult because her combo has a big chance to not grant max chain modifier sometimes, so be aware of that as well.

Not only that, but once you are doing a combo, you shouldn't interrupt it, because you will lose turn. Which means, if you use Berserk Attack+, you definitely should not swap to the breaks because you'd lose out on a lot of other stuff that gets enabled by Berserk Attack+.
Which also means, once you start a combo, you are pretty limited in what you do. Interrupting it will throw you back a lot. You can't use Chakra in between or the combo will break.

That makes Prishe also a little MP heavy and you should definitely watch out for her MP since she doesn't have any MP passives and once you will have to interrupt your combo because you lack MP, that'd suck.

    Side-Notes:
We already know Prishe's enhancements in JP and they definitely look decent.
Her AoE Re-Raise lasts 9 turns instead of 3, which is kinda decent I guess for just in case scenarios. But not too good because you will most likely only go for it if you know that you will die. But still great if you want to prepare for a threshhold in advance.

Her knuckle passives let's her gain another 20% MP and another total of 50% ATK/SPR, which makes her just a tank monster. It's insane and she has a lot of ATK passives (total of 110%). Definitely a good enhancement.

Prishe Special that gets unlocked by a 3 turn combo is now granted a 30% imperil to all elements, decent enough so you might pass up on an external imperil unit.
But the main thing about it is, once you unlock it, you unlock this move forever. This means, you can always spam a 1000% 15-Hit mod, and that is deeeaaadly. Really good enhancement and makes her a lot more consistent.

    Arena:
Not really good in this. She is tanky etc but her only really good AoE move is locked behind a 2 turn combo, which means the fight takes way too long. Besides these are physical attacks and can easily be dodged.
So yeah, Prishe is a no-go in the arena in my eyes.

    Best in Slot:
    Bowie Knife
Kaiser Knuckles / Aigaion Arm (for non elemental)
    Prishe's Hairpin
    Crimson Curass / Brave Suit
    Champion's Belt
    Champion's Belt
    Martial Arts Mastery
    Quick Assault
    Quick Assault
Emperor's Majesty / Quick Assault (with Brave Suit)

    1026 ATK with Odin

    Prishe [IMG] VS [IMG] Tidus

    - Tidus has higher base ATK but less passives (10% less)
    - Tidus has a higher total ATK due to equipment selection
    - Both have amazing versatility
    - Both have amazing supportive aspects
    - Prishe has insane survivability while Tidus has really good one
    - Tidus has 3 innate 50% killers
    - Tidus can 100% water imperil with his maxed LB
    - Prishe is locked into combos

So, I ran the maths for Prishe vs Tidus with a Soleil support. Do note, that Prishe will outdamage Tidus once you don't have any ATK buffs included due to her innate 100% ATK buff in her combo.

Tidus with Soleil Setup and second turn LB (7 turns):

    Turn 1: (1125^2 + 1135^2) x 4 x 3.66 = 37,388,364
    Turn 2: 1172^2 x 4.1 x 3.48 = 19,598,296
    Turn 3: (1162^2 + 1172^2) x 4 x 3.66 x 2 = 79,753,683
    Turn 4: (1162^2 + 1162^2) x 4 x 3.66 x 2 = 79,753,683
    Turn 5: (1162^2 + 1162^2) x 4 x 3.66 x 2 = 79,753,683
    Turn 6: (1162^2 + 1162^2) x 4 x 3.66 x 2 = 79,753,683
    Turn 7: (1162^2 + 1162^2) x 4 x 3.66 x 2 = 79,753,683

    Total: 452,208,895
    DPT (Damage per turn) /7 = 64,601,270
    ____________________________________________________________
    Prishe with Soleil Setup (5 turns): Turn 1: (11032 + 11222) x 3,5 x 3.48 = 30,151,504

    Turn 2: (1139^2 + 1158^2) x 2.4 x 2.63 = 16,652,854
    Turn 3: (1139^2 + 1158^2) x 3.33 x 2.63 = 23,105,836
    Turn 4: (1139^2 + 1158^2) x 10 x 3.73 = 98,408,030
    Turn 5: (1139^2 + 1158^2) x 10 x 3.73 = 98,408,030

    Total: 266,726,254
    DPT /5 = 53,345,250

Tidus DPT - Prishe DPT = 11,256,020 So Tidus deals around 11 million more damage than Prishe with that setup.
So yeah, it's pretty straight forward to say that Tidus wins this one, but keep in mind about Prishe's AoE Re-raise. It can be quite handy sometimes.
DON'T forget that Tidus' damage split will allow him to deal even higher damage than I noted here.

    Prishe [IMG] VS [IMG] Orlandeau

    - Orlandeau has way higher base ATK and higher ATK passives (10% higher)
    - Orlandeau has innate imperil
    - Prishe is a lot tankier, has way higher HP, way higher SPR, dodge chances
    - Prishe has way better supportive aspects than Orlandeau
    - Orlandeau doesn't offer much besides chains and decent breaks
    - Prishe is locked into combos

Again, I did the maths for Orlandeau vs Prishe, so no sweat. Sadly, this is pretty straight forward, sorry for these lame comparisons besides the damage.

Orlandeau with Soleil Setup (5 turns):

    Turn 1: 1189^2 x 4 x 3.41 + 1199^2 x 6 x 3.41 = 48,696,470
    Turn 2: (1227^2 + 1237^2) x 6 x 3.41 = 62,110,381
    Turn 3: (1227^2 + 1237^2) x 6 x 3.41 = 62,110,381
    Turn 4: (1227^2 + 1237^2) x 6 x 3.41 = 62,110,381
    Turn 5: (1227^2 + 1237^2) x 6 x 3.41 = 62,110,381

    Total: 297,137,994
    DPT/5 = 59,427,598
    ____________________________________________________________
Prishe with Soleil Setup (5 turns):

    Turn 1: (1103^2 + 1122^2) x 3,5 x 3.48 = 30,151,504
    Turn 2: (1139^2 + 1158^2) x 2.4 x 2.63 = 16,652,854
    Turn 3: (1139^2 + 1158^2) x 3.33 x 2.63 = 23,105,836
    Turn 4: (1139^2 + 1158^2) x 10 x 3.73 = 98,408,030
    Turn 5: (1139^2 + 1158^2) x 10 x 3.73 = 98,408,030

    Total: 266,726,254
    DPT /5 = 53,345,250

So again, Orlandeau deals around 6 million higher damage than Prishe, which puts her in a pretty "bad" spot as a chainer and she can only outdamage these if you do not use a buffer.

    Trust Master Reward:
Best physical DPS hat for like ever. Even in JP by far the best one and it's an insane step up from what we have. It's 17 higher attack than Black Cowl / Rider's helm. While it doesn't add any defensive stats, it grants 10% HP/MP in return, which overall is a decent comprehension for that.
    Awesome TMR, get it!

    Conclusion:
    Prishe
definitely is not the best physical chainer in terms of damage. She doesn't even outdamage Orlandeau as long as she does not have imperils and does have an external ATK buffer.
There are other things though, while a finisher is not optimal with her (which makes Fire Veritas not the best choice), you can easily pass on a ATK buffer for your team with Prishe because her combo will always buff her ATK by 100%. So there is that.
Besides that, Prishe is a super tanky DPS with really good versatility that requires a lot of setup turns.
She's alright for now, definitely a really fun unit but not competitive in the meta. But you can run her without having any problems compared to other "bad" chainers.

    @TLA 's: Should you Pull?

    Character Design: 9/10
    Sprite: 9/10
    Chainer: 8/10

    Free 2 Play: 8.5/10
    Pay 2 Play: 8/10

I hoped you like the review, the comparison section was a little short due to all the maths etc, but that's it for today :).
I kinda want her to mess around with her and her TMR, but she moves... and I despite moving chainers.

niche chainer for now, she doesn't deal enough damage to compete in the meta. Seeing how Landu is ranked in the meta rn and he outdamages her by far, yeah

But, in the future, after the 4rth turn it seems like she can be meta. Thing is, you still need to factor the moving part. But, if the enemy is considered as in the center, you can simply put her on 4 and 6(friend), and she should chain decently :)

Is it weird that Prishe's idle pose reminds me of Kyo Kusanagi's?

What's the purpose of Raging Fists here? Why not start with Berserk Attack for a 3-turn rotation for AoE Re-Raise and MP Battery?

As far as I understand, Will to Live+ requires Berserk Attack to be cast. It doesn't matter if it's Berserk Attack or Berserk Attack+. So if you're using her for a support rotation, don't bother with Raging Fists, just go for this 3-turn rotation.

Honestly I'm ignoring her damage dealing capabilities completely, to me she is AoE Re-raise and AoE MP Battery only, I think that's how she's best used right now.

Anyway, nice review. A lot of good effort put into the math, although I'm really not surprised she comes up second-rate.

Will to live + require Berserk attack +. At least, that's what is written in the wiki.

Why do you have her special twice in her rotation when it is only unlocked for 1 turn?
What about including her LB in the rotation though?
Is it fair to use Soleil as standard buff?

    Thanks for the review.

Will have to check that once I pu-....
I won't pull her ::ink:: you'll check that for me.

I was providing the maths because a reddit guy made a review as well and provided maths that put her on top of everybody but A2, OK and Fry. Which is wrong because he didnt include any external buffs.

There is still a lot of room to improve with an external imperil

Zargabaath would have been enough to make Tidus outdamage her easily. :) Soleil is a really easy to get and fairly easy to enhance buffer, so I'll probably include her a lot. And once we get ramza, yeah....
I don't know why, but it seems like it works like this. Many sources claim that so I'll just believe it for now.

    Her LB is pretty meh-ish

Not really. Her 130 MP recover "procs" once all 4 turns, so it's essentially around ~33 MP per turn effectively. That's around Ling level

Unless it turns out to be every 3 turns and also includes an AoE Re-raise.

TBH that 3 turns vs. 4 turns makes ALL of the difference. I'll report immediately to you tonight (unless she screws me over)
