    A young woman who appears in the tales of a world divided into four nations that individually control their own unique Crystals. Rem is a student of Akademeia and an expert in magic who was promoted directly from Class Seventh to Class Zero. Unfortunately, she contracted an incurable disease during her infancy that she currently represses with the aid of a particulary potent medicine. Its side effects, however, are the source behind her incessant coughing and the horrible pain she endures night after night. Regardless of the true state of her health, Rem always does her best to act normal around her classmates. Today's review will be about dual wielding daggers in Skyrim. Or wait a second, sorry, wrong game. Rem's one will be the one. Enjoy!

    Pros:
    Oh god, this is going to be a long section.
    Starting off with the base stats. They honestly look really good. Rem has really good HP, MP, MAG + SPR stats, which is exactly what she needs. She even has huge MAG / SPR boosts. +70% MAG and +80% SPR while still having +30% MP with Auto-Refresh, this one right here is reeeaally good. More MAG and SPR means better heals, more survivability and more damage while the MP part means that she will do way better in longer fights. Really good stats and passives in this one.

    Going on with her kit. It's beautiful.
    Her red mage aspect was way worse in the JPN version of FFBE. She dealt really bad damage because Rem was restricted to Blizzaga, Firaga and Thundaga. But GL changed this "a bit" (will be discussed later on).

    First off, she has an AoE Curaja + Esuna + cure Petrification. This one is just beautiful to have in almost any trial, because almost any trial can inflict status ailments to your party. Which Rem can just cure like nothing. Really strong.
    But that's not it, Rem is able to Dual Cast (all spells) and still has innate Curaja, Raise and Protectga. Meaning there is even more ways to support your party through using her. She can be your main healer, your side healer or emergency healer.

    And one might think, this is great, but nothing too unique yet. She can also use a 3-Turn ST 80% Re-Raise to one of your party members. First usable unit with this unique ability to hit GL (Vanille is a 5* max and Bartz needs to kill himself in order to cast Re-Raise). This is simply amazing. Being able to make your tank revive the turn he may die from a threshhold attack, or protecting yourself / your DPS from a threshhold or whatever. I highly recommend using Re-Raise in difficult situations. And keep in mind, she still has +80% SPR and +70% MAG to make her heals go crazy.

    So, we got her healer / supportive side covered. But there is way more to talk about. Not only that Rem can hit a huge MAG stat on the GL side with 4x Letters and Arms, Fryevia's Needle, her exclusive Dagger, etc., but she can actually use it on GL, too!

    Rem is able to dual cast Firaga, Thundaga and Blizzaga, which is neat for some side damage or elemental damage exploits. But since their modifiers are rather weak, this is just a side "pro", nothing too crazy to see here. But if we move on to the abilities, we will see something really interesting.

    "Dagger Boomerang" is Rem's Global Exclusive ability. And I'm gonna be 100% honest, this one is just beautiful. Amazing, whatever you want to call it. This makes Rem an insane Red Mage.
    Dagger Boomerang is not only an ability, which is not really MP draining like crazy, but gets more damage the more often you use it consecutively. Sounds good, but still not amazing, right? Well... The main thing about Dagger Boomerang is that it is actually affected by Dual Wield, Killers and Elemental weapons. And still scales with her own MAG.
    As we know because of Ace and Fryevia, abilities affected by DW with MAG scaling is not like DW ATK abilities. In comparison, MAG abilities which are affected by DW use your total MAG twice, while the physical variant only uses your right / left - handed weapon each time. So if you have 2 100 ATK weapons equipped and a total 1000 ATK, you will end up having 2x Attacks with 900 ATK. But MAG would get 2x the 1000 MAG. So definitely a huge plus for MAG this time.

    And now, by knowing the damage goes up each time (to a total of 6.2x), is affected by DW, Killers and elemental weapons... And Rem being able to equip swords... making this skill a power house by itself.

    Rem has natural +70% MAG (with her exclusive dagger +85%) and also is able to abuse Letters and Arms stacking mechanic with Fryevia's Needle. She can get really high MAG numbers, dual wield "Dagger Boomerang" which ends up having a total 12,4x mod after your 3rd turn. And it only costs 38 MP per turn, which is really easy to manage with her huge MP stat and Auto-Refresh. This is AMAZING. Gumi did a GREAT job with this Global Exclusive one. I'm reaaally happy to see such a huge change which actually has a strong impact on her playstyle. Do those more often, gumi.
    Not only this, but Rem can use Dagger Boomerang even as some sort of finisher. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful....

    Rem also has innate DW Daggers, but besides for beginners which don't have really good equipment / decent equipment, this one is fairly useless. But like I said, for beginners, this one is still really really good, because her Dagger Boomerang will be able to hit twice a turn.

    Her LB also takes a good punch with it, especially if you want a LB Kill Mission to be done.

    Rem is a powerhouse.

    Cons:
    To be honest, there isn't a lot she does not good.

    Rem has no status ailment protection, which is fairly unfortunate, but seeing what she can offer this con kinda seems a bit underwhelming. You need to make sure before going in a trial which status ailments she needs to resist, it's manageable.

    Rem also has no HP boosts at all, but she has a HP Base around ~3900, which is solid. Not the best, but could definitely be way more frail. She also has a high SPR (possibly), so magic attacks should not kill her anytime soon.

    Side-Notes:
    @Pezmerga told me he got his Rem up to 1055 Magic, and 387 spirit with Ramuh Esper. This makes her pretty strong with still some bulk into it. She also has a bit higher DEF because of the White Knight Noel TMR he used. Thanks, Pez, for letting me know this!
    Rem truely is a Red Mage right now, and I love it.
    Pez: "Without WKN TM, I got her to 1015 Magic (loss of 41 magic, but she has 300% cap), and 492 Spirit. If you dont mind losing 5% magic (8-9 magic), you can gain another 35 spirit with Trey TM though."


    Arena:
    She can be quite good in arena. Her exclusive Materia is an AoE Osmose which is pretty op in arena tbh, since your enemies can only use Auto Attacks / LB's after that.
    Rem has no innate status ailment protection, but can heal, cure status ailments, DC elemental spells etc.

    - Rem has way higher MAG stats and higher MAG passives
    - Rem has way higher MP with way less MP heavy moves
    - Rem has amazing supportive aspects while still dealing huge damage
    - D.Fina can do Ultima chains, Rem can be used to finish
    - D.Fina has status ailment protection and some niche counters
    - D.Fina can debuff the enemy with status ailments or ATK/DEF breaks
    - Rem can cast Re-Raise on one of your allies
    - Rem has way higher SPR stats, making her way more sustainable in longer fights
    - D.Fina has a wider elemental coverage in spells, while Rem can just change her weapon

    Overall, not even our enhanced D.Fina wins against our Global Rem (gonna call her GLem for the sake of my sanity). GLem has just so much damage to offer while still being a supportive monster on the GL side. The first 2-3 Turns, D.Fina will be able to outdamage GLem in terms of pure modifiers, but uses up really high amounts of MP. But GLem can still use simple killers and elemental weapons to even make herself way stronger, so there's that. And only 38 MP per turn (not including the Auto-Refresh). GLem is just insanity.

    - T.Terra has higher MAG Base stats, while Rem has 10% higher passives
    - Both abuse Letters and Arms
    - T.Terra needs a turn to make herself chainable and only with a clone
    - T.Terra can use Full-Raise, while Rem can DC Raise, Curaja and has ST Re-Raise in her kit
    - Rem has higher SPR Base stats and +20% SPR more than T.Terra
    - Rem has way higher MP
    - Both have a supportive aspect, while Rem's one is way better
    - T.Terra's Chaos Wave has worse modifiers than Rem's Dagger Boomerang even without her applying killers and elemental weapons
    -T.Terra has a niche 30% physical evasion chance (making her able to 100% evasion builds)

    This time, GLem wins again. She has about 50 less MAG with her BiS, but still hase way more potential damage to deal. GLem is just a new tier of magic damage.
    And in terms of supporting your team, GLem is still way better overall, because T.Terra can't DC Full-Raise without her own TMR. GLem wins.

    Comparison (Healer): Refia ( http://exvius.gamepedia.com/Refia )

    - Both have about the same HP
    - Rem has 1 less SPR base stat, but 50% more SPR passives
    - Rem has way higher MP and innate MP Refresh
    - Rem has Raise + Re-Raise and AoE Curaja + Esuna + Cure Petrification
    - Refia has no innate DC, but Full-Raise
    - Refia has Embolden
    - Rem can still deal huge side damage while being used as a healer
    - Refia has some Status Ailment Protection

    GLem wins again. And again. And again....
    Unless you really really need Refia's Full-Raise or Embolden, go for GLem. But since buffers are more common these days and almost anybody has Y'shtola, Refia isn't as needed as in the earlier Meta.

    Comparison (Healer): Luka ( http://exvius.gamepedia.com/Luka )

    - Luka has no Curaja, only the same ability as Rem
    - Luka can cast Raise, but with no DC
    - Both have some supportive aspects, while Rem has way higher versatility

    GLem clearly wins this one. Luka is about a worse GLem in about every case.

    Comparison (Red Mage): Y'shtola ( http://exvius.gamepedia.com/Y'shtola )

    - Y'shtola has worse base stats and no passives
    - Rem has way way higher MAG and can use her Dagger Boomerang to deal damage
    - Y'shtola deals poor damage
    - Both have innate DC
    - Both have innate Auto-Refresh
    - Both have no Status Ailment Protection
    - Y'shtola has 50% Camouflage, while Rem has +80% SPR
    - Rem's heals are waaay stronger and she has Re-Raise on top of it
    - Y'sh's LB is way better
    - Y'sh has a 100% HP restore, but this one is barely used to be honest

    GLem is almost a better version of Y'shtola in almost any aspect. Only some few few niches Y'sh might be better. But Y'shtola is still really good, considering she is a f2p unit, too!

    Trust Master Reward:
    Amazing TMR for any Support / Healer Type unit! Grab this TMR, this will be awesome in the future for supporters.

    My Conclusion:
    Rem (/GLem) is one of the best units because of their Global Treatments. Rem got AMAZING, she is really strong. Being basically the best healer / mage and an amazing red mage at the same time is just.... Her versatility got insane on the GL side. Please, if you need a Mage / Healer / Red Mage, pull for her. I HIGHLY recommend you pulling for her.

    Character Design: 10/10 (I love Red Mages)
    Sprite: 9.5/10
    Chainer: 2/10
    Finisher: 7.5-8/10
    Personal Rating: 9.5/10
    Optimal Rating: 9.5/10

    Just one little question. Her ability works with stacks. Do we know for sure that with DW, it will stack at each attack and not only once, since it's not really a second attack but more a simple repeat ? I know she can go to fully powered in 5 turns if so, which is still great, but I read that somewhere on reddit and was wondering about the answer.

    Yes, "with each use" means it powers up twice with Dual Wield.

    By the second hit of the third turn, you've reached the 6.2x cap.

    1) Rem is not a Red Mage, she's a Sage. Red Mages can also use some physical abilities and have an average ATK.
    2) Currently if you want to use her as a damager you must spam her move, or you'll lose the stack: this is gonna be fixed in half a year, but if she's afflicted by ailments (or death) she returns to 1.2x damage. Also her BiS is based on a Magic Ice ATK, consider making a section for Fire/Thunder/Dark/Non-elemental sword, she loses 100 MAG but can abuse 4 weaknesses. So you must slap a Ribbon/Discernment for most trials.
    3) Bonus... her Dagger gives her Auto-regen. With her naturally high SPR she'll recover some nice HP every turn.
    4) Vanille has Reraise. Bartz has Elixir+Reraise move (with Lifegiver+2).

    You are correct - she comes with a 30% version that can be Enhanced (fairly cheaply) to 80% and 5-turns, which is actually better than Rem's.

    Of course, Rem's survivability and the rest of her toolkit FAR exceeds Vanille's (poor 5* max). If re-raise is needed at all, chances are whatever you're fighting is strong enough to annihilate Vanille pretty easily. You need that extra defensibility.

    1) Most consider DPS + Healer + Support characters / Units a red mage. So I'll stick with it, hope you don't mind
    2) Yes, but it only takes 3 turns to build up again to max, I don't think this is a real con tbh. Yes, it is less DPS, but it's still pretty strong
