    Greetings everybody!

Our team has decided to update the warning system/ rules.

Since our last rule change we are generally very happy with the results. Things have calmed down A LOT since then.
With the system we used you could have had a few slip ups, move on from it and be fine. Any user deserves the chance to not get immediately banned for maybe only having a bad day. You also had multiple chances to improve your attitude in case you got reported and moderated a lot so in that aspect anyone who violated the rules always had the chance to recover nicely from it.

However, over the last few months we came to the conclusion that our current system is TOO generous. Some users were able to avoid the system through sitting it out rather than actually improving their attitude.
We will make our ban system more strict so that we prevent users who violate the rules, make a bad impression and worsen the experience for other forum members cannot keep on doing this without receiving a significant penalty or even a permanent ban.
For users who had a bad day and got upset over nothing thus resulting into a potential warning, do not worry, this change likely will not affect you. Do not expect us to suddenly ban everyone who steps out of line.

This change does not affect users who currently have warnings. This means due to the change of the rules you won't get suddenly banned for this IF you had enough previous warnings.

We will also update the spam rules a bit and make it more specific so that we can prevent users from creating low-effort content (such as threads with only a very few words that aren't meant to be an actual question) as well as trolling in general.
This change will likely not affect most users either, though we want to keep it as clean as possible.

Overall we hope this update will change things for the better. Only time can tell and we are confident that this will improve the current state of the forum.

You can find our official rules here!

    Thank you for reading!
